I gave birth to the 9-year-old queen of flip flops, so I will definitely get the flip flop wheel. All my kids ride horses, so the little cowboy set is another one I'll get. It's very cute. I love the new designer paper. I'm an alphabet collector, so it was a given that I'll be buying the alphabet. I generally don't buy mini catalog sets, but I think I'll be throwing caution to the wind with this one. I love the flower set with the two big wheels. I'll get that one too.
Oh NO, *I* am the queen of flip flops! Yanno how many pairs I have?
Have you figured out how to turn the little cowboy into a cowgirl yet? I think we're going to see some REALLY creative stuff with this set here on SCS!
well the snarky in me wants to say "let's keep our purchase plan a secret so our demo's won't know until the last minute and we can surprise them with it." but ....then again...
Too funny!:p
I am leaning towards "It's a Shore Thing" but will have to connect with my GF as we try not to order the same sets (other than BG's...which are a STAPLE!)
Pattern of friendship reminds me of a 1960's outfit my mother would of dressed in.so anyone who has 1960's photo's which I'm sure we all do.it reminds me of that. So that could actually be a good thing to use for those kinds of photo's.
buds and posies reminds me of paint prints toomuch so won't be getting that one.although I do like the outline stamp that goes with it.
I think I will be going for the shore thing and flip flop wheel.the boats for my son ,since I need more boys stamps goes good with bath tub photo's and his sand and water table he used outside.and some beach photo's.
wheels and things not sure yet have to see what you spliy coast girls do with it that could possibly change my mind. One person already mentioned adding items from loads of love to them .the cowboy is cute too.But I already did my sons layout with his cowboy outfit.oohh got to get the paper too.
I need to save for the retired list.since I don't want to pay for higher prices. This will be interesting with summer mini, retired list and new caddy coming out all in 3 months.

I love seeing what everyone likes! SU (and probably other companies too) know what they're doing, cause while there are stamp sets that some people definitely don't like, I think counting all of you you've mentionned every single one in the mini! So they definitely cater to a wide crowd.
I really like the Summer Mini and am going to have a hard time deciding... I think I was one of the lone few that didn't like the Spring Mini as much....though you SCSers did change my mind on a few of the sets!
What's on my list? What's not on my list! Hehehe.... I fell in love with the Shore one and the two wheels that go with it -ish (flip flops and fishies). The alphabet is soooo cute. I like the Edgy Eloquence, it's really my style and it's nice to have something different for those of us that enjoy making sassy cards more than sentimental cards.... Oh, and at first I wasn't sure about the Wheel Things one, but I think I'll end up changing my mind on that one...
Let's keep the fun talk going! I love fun excitement talk! And if you don't like the talk, why did you open and start reading a thread entitled "So, what do you want from the Summer Mini??" Close it now! Stop reading! Save your eyes!!! Hehehe...

Oh I'm sure that the mega talented ladies here at SCS will figure it out! I have three boys, but my two oldest nieces are cowgirls through and through so I'll probably play around with it some myself... a little creative pen work and it should be easy!
It's funny how some things stick out to some of us and totally different things to others. Reading some of the posts I thought "what stamp set are they talking about?" and had to go back to look. I LOVE the alphabet and I LOVE the cowboy set (even though I have a daughter...a 16 year old one at that). So far that's all I'm planning to buy...but I know once the SCS ladies start adding to the gallery I'll end up with more. An example...I own unfroggettable...I haven't used it...I'm really not arty enough to use it...but I have it. LOLOLOL. And I just ordered the wheel to it. What's wrong with me?

I don't have any kids at all...boys or girls, and I don't think I could pull off a "cow-beagle." I just can't resist this set though...I see it and I imagine all sorts of awesome cards that could be made!

Oh a cow beagle! How about using the ruff day set and put the hat on the doggie in that? I have a beagle too and think I might try that LOL!

I don't know if you are referring specifically or generically but I do like the talk- I like seeing everyone so excited and hearing what everyone's must haves for the summer are and why (maybe one of those reasons will sway me- as if I need a reason to be swayed- wouldn't take too much effort). I just personally chose to not look at the summer mini so I can stay surprised and not look at it until after I have placed my May order (esp. with retired list next week!!!- one week from tomorrow!) I will be checking out scs for that list asap on May 1.
Okay- does anyone want to tell me how to include the quote so it shows up with the original author's name and in the little gray box? Apparently I can't do it and it was the first time I tried.

I always click on the Quote button...and then the important thing is that usually you don't want to quote everything right? Just make sure not to delete the original quote thingie at the start. Mine looks like "[QUOTE=tamijo]" for this post. So yours was probably "[QUOTE=lenoreo]", so make sure that you don't delete that when you're trying to just get the relevant parts.
Oh, and I was definitely not talking to anyone at all, just trying to encourage people to keep this thread fun and exciting for those that want to read!

Don't erase the last quote either or it won't be in a box.
I want Cowboy Kid! Too cute! I notice there are no quarterly hostess sets and it says that you can pick two hostess sets from the catty. I wonder if that means any level of hostess sets. Saw a couple of the level 3's that I would love! Does anyone know or have news on how that will work?

Oh boy!! I'm such a beach girl, so I will definitely be getting Shore Thing and the Stampin' Around Flip Flops. I like the By Sea too, so I'll probably be getting that as well!!! I can't wait!!

I second that! What's up with that? But he is really cute....maybe these clever SCS girls will figure out a way to make the cowboy a "she" - although the mustache will be a difficult thing to delete....
Welllllllllllllllllllll.....I just looked at it. I think if you could CAREFULLY cut out the mustache with an exacto knife, then "unmount" it (to use on the clear blocks), you could use that as hair on a little girl (turned up & down instead of longways), then use it as a moustache. that might work, but not sure!

I am with you on this one....I was not impressed with the spring mini. I bought a few sets, but not much. Now, the summer mini I really like a lot in there! I am so excited and can't wait to order it! The problem I have is my demo is moving and leaves on the 9th of May! I tried to get her to let me have a party on the 1st or 2nd and she says she just can't do it. I am pretty bummed, I was hoping to put in a good order for discontinued and it is never as much fun to just order and not make cute things. Oh well, hopefully I will get what I want!
Well, I can see the Cool Kitty riding in or on some of those wheels since it has turned up in some really different places. Hmm, maybe on that beach chair too or on some sand with a crab under it as if just caught. Also, maybe with a cow hat. Oh my the possibilities...can't wait to see some of the gallery cards for the summer mini.

Interesting idea - after I looked at this set more, it really would have made more sense to have that mustache be a seperate stamp to use on the cowboy/girl if/when you liked it. Oh well - I'm still buying it and I'm sure if I marker up the boy (minus the mustache), I could figure out how to make "him" a "her".

I am with you guys! The problem is, SCS has convinced me that I desperately want Looks like spring (+ punch + papers) and Unfrogettable! My next stamp club is on May 24, so I have some time to decide. I don't want to miss out, but I don't want buyer's remorse either.
Decisions, decisions!

OMG SCS did the same thing to me. When I first saw Unfrogettable I was like "That's nice but what would I do with it?" Then I started seeing everything in the gallery and now I have to have it.
Fortunately, I only want the Scooter/Shopping cart set and maybe the flip-flop wheel from the summer mini so maybe I can get it all, afterall I do have one more month till I can even place an order from the Summer Mini.
I don't like any of the sets besides Nature Prints and I have similar stamps already, so no summer mini stamps for me. I'm a way I'm relieved - more dollars to spend on the new TAC catalog in 8 weeks!!!
and here i thought i was the only one!! yep - ONLY nature prints
for me too!! and i'm also relieved! bekke in nj
