I have been trying to clean up my craft room since I had a huge project a week ago. I was putting all my stuff away and I noticed that I have two teeny, tiny stamps missing from my SU Sweet Scoops set. I remember making some birthday cards and using the triangular cone and the "sprinkles" pieces. Both are missing. I can live without the "sprinkles" but am so mad/sad/disappointed/annoyed that I lost that cone piece. I knew it would happen with the unmounted pieces, but not this quickly. Bummer.
oooh, I have only ever lost one stamp from a set. and I think I accidentally disposed of it thinking it was a different stamp that had a mistake on it. I bet it will show up. As my 11 year old says about missing items: They always show up at some point.
haha...You just don't know WHEN that time will be!
I've been looking for a sentiment from a big set for over a year. I know it's still in the room where I store my stamps because it dropped (an unmounted piece of rubber) into a big bunch of boxes that haven't left the room. I've done what I thought was a thorough search and didn't find it. But like I said, the boxes haven't left the room so it's still got to be someplace there (boxes had lots of little knick-knacks and papers that I'm sorting out). So needless to say, my sorting of those boxes will be done slowly and carefully.
I lost a stamp once looked all over for it and found it in a small can I keep next to my work desk so I was glad I went throught before I took to the big can outside on garbage day.
I found a stamp I didn't know was missing. I pulled out my watercolor crayons and a stamp was stuck to the container. It would have drove me crazy to look for it as I never would have thought about looking in the drawer with my crayons.
I knew I wasn't alone. I'm hoping I didn't toss it in the trash by mistake. I'm also missing an acrylic block. If you could see the MESS in here, you wouldn't be surprised I lost something!
I bet it will turn up. So far the only stamp I've lost permanently was a tiny clear single letter from an alphabet set. But it's certainly true that some have gone missing for a while, and they turn up in the most unlikely places. Currently I'm looking for the Thank Ewe sentiment from Pun Fun. Last week I dropped a little butterfly from a Penny Black cling set and I saw it hit the floor and bounce. Well, it was DH who found it in the end, at least 3 feet beyond the area I was convinced it had bounced to.

Maybe the block and the stamp are playing together.
Hope you find them both.
I can relate to your dilemma - I've been missing AN ENTIRE ALPHABET SET (Attitude Upper) for over a year (about the same time I moved, actually...) Funny other story, though: I bought the You and Moi set specifically for the "You and moi? Ooh la la!" stamp. I was putting all of my stamps into a revamped storage system because I went all unmounted (I'm revamping the system again now) and couldn't find that one little stamp out of all of my thousands of stamps and was getting really distraught about it. I happened to catch something out of the corner of my eye and thought, "What's in my hair?" Yup - that stamp! I'd been looking for at least two hours...

Well, maybe take some time to clean up.
(Please understand my tone... that isn't sarcasm!)
Sometimes when I clean my area, I find things I thought I lost...and it really makes my day.
Good luck finding your goodies!

I lost one of the stamps in my batty for you stamp set. I think I threw it away when I was cleaning up. I ended up buying the single stamp I lost on eBay. Paid like $6 (shipped) for that darn stamp, but at least my set is complete again.
So for anyone who might be missing a stamp try eBay. There are always sellers who break up sets and sell the stamps individually.

I really like my wood mounts. Have gone over to the other side when SU started offering clear mount. Loss of a stamp has always been my fear with unmounted stamps. That is only one of the reasons I won't unmount!
So sorry for you...I feel your pain and hope you find those runaways!

This made me laugh out loud!! That is totally something that would happen to me. I usually lose stamps or tools or tape right in front of my nose on my desk. I always find it by the end of the project but it's usually buried under all the accessories, paper and scraps that didn't make the cut!
Good luck to the OP..hopefully the stamps will turn up right along with the clear block!
Yes, just a little happy! And Ted, it took me cleaning out a box that was sitting next to my stamp table for over a month. That's exactly where it was!!! I know I'll find the acrylic block. It is probably in a drawer. I'm much less worried about that!!!
I've been looking for a clear stamp I seem to have dropped on the floor somewhere between my kitchen bar (where I work) and my spare room (where I keep my supplies). I may never find it!
I am also missing an acrylic block with grid lines and it's not small. My craft room is full of things even the drawers and it's not just stamping or cardmaking stuff but my jewellery making and tatting stuff as well. Sometime I think I need a third eye to find it.
The first day I used my favourite set "Teeny Trees" from Waltzingmouse Stamps I lost one of the teardrop shaped tree tops - only about 1/2" in size. I looked everywhere, on my hand and knees on the tiles, but I never found it - I'm convinced the cat ate it!
Awwwwwwwwwwww ... I've been there as well. The "unknown" is quite a beast it seems, as "it" seems to bug one on a rather frequent, unwelcome basis until either resolved, or given up for definitely "lost/gone".
I'm here to share the truth that there is hope! I still cannot explain how or why, but a darling, long-missing sentiment from a set turned up in my make-up drawer on my side of the bathroom sinks. Honestly .... gremlins may occasionally be sampling the fun with our stamps!! Hang in there!
I lost my SU Butterfly embosslit. I had moved all my stamping stuff downstairs and I swear it was in my drawer or I would have noticed it missing when I was reorganizing. And now it's gone for 6 mths & can't find it. I think my daughter got hold of it and won't admit to it. so it's lost somewhere in this house. I'm thinking of buying another one. Why couldn't it be the other ones that I hardly use.

Hmmmmm ... I'm thinking ... "If you buy it .... the lost one will come to the front of the welcming line!" ;) (Basing this comment simply on my own previous experiences.) hee hee

Yay! Glad to hear you found it! No greater feeling!
(Well, okay... maybe finding out the last brownie WAS NOT eaten by a family member after all ties the feeling! ;) )
