Default So excited!

I was looking at the local free paper and saw that someone on my street is having a garage sale this Fri/Sat and they have some SU! stuff for sale.

Now, I'm just trying to decide if I should knock on their door (I don't know them from Adam) and ask if there is any chance for "pre-sale" shopping. With 5 kids, it's kinda hard to get out early.

I would totally go over early if they're on your street! Hey, if it were me, I'd let someone look at my garage sale stuff early - money is money!

Sounds great!! Just make sure you knock on the door at a convenient time of day. I'm sure they wouldnt mind, other than she might not have all her stuff out and ready yet. But leave her your phone # so she can call you when she's ready to have someone come look. Happy hunting!!

I don't think it would hurt. Besides, she'd make $$ and you two could even become stamping buddies!!! :-)

How fun! I know I wouldn't mind if someone took my stuff early. Then I would have money on hand to go get all that stupid change you have to go get (and I always seem to forget about).

I would ask early!! We just had a community yard sale and we made $100 the night before with early comers. She probably will be going thru it/setting it up the night before. Stop by and ring the bell. THe most she can do is say "no".

I'd go over no problem and ask. Tell them that you have kids and would love to get to their sale early, but don't see it happening. A friend of mine did that once, and ended up buying $75 worth of brand-name clothes at a great price per item. She clothed her son for the next few years!

Let us know how you do!!

If it were me selling the stuff -- I'd happily do it early. We go up to my stamp room and go through stuff together.

Absolutely! You'll probably make a new friend and have a better chance to talk than when she's so busy during her sale.

If I were having the sale, I'd let you shop early- a few days before. I HATE garage sale early birds the day of- you practically have to be completely set up 3 hours before your list time before these people come pawing through!

Go for it! If that won't work for her...she will just tell you to come back when the garage sale starts! How cool for you!

Definitely do that. They might be thrilled at not having to deal with the stamps on sale day.

Okay.. they had the garage door up and were standing there as I drove by this morning... when I drove back by, it was still up and they were still there (you could tell they were setting up). So, I pulled in. Unfortunately, the SU! stuff is this woman's dil...and she won't be here until tomorrow. I am praying I have time before I have to be at the church for our VBS kick-off block party. If not, I'll have to be there bright and early Fri. The lady that lives here was really nice about it all. Yay!
