Thanks for posting the mini. I love getting a peak and planning ahead. Love the paper. I'd rather spend my $$ on some of the great stamps in the main catty. But, we really should have a poll---if we did the choices could be.....
1. Yeh, the mini is great. Can't wait to order and play.
2. Boo, the mini is great but I don't/can't buy it all.
3. Yeh, the mini is so-so. I can save my $$ and buy from the main catty.
4. Boo, the mini is so-so. I wanted to order and play.
(I'd vote #3 cause I have my eye on some other sets and my budget and craft cabinet are running out of space!) Of course, I always change my mind when I see my demo make a really cute card from one of the sets.

While you may not like anything while looking thru the mini, you MAY change your mind once you see some of the creations people post here. I can think of a few sets (such as the floral background) that I HATED in the book but loved once I saw it used on some projects.
I'm sure this has happened to everyone! Personally I never even SAW that Loads of Love set until I saw it in the gallery!

Personally, I don't the the point in getting into such a major upheaval. As some one posted up-thread, if you don't like anything, don't buy anything.

LOL! This is what I fear with each new mini and big Idea Book and Catalog. Once these talented women get their hands on the new sets, I'm hooked and need them. Eeek.

Most people know I'm a complete, total, unrepentant paper slut, so it goes without saying that I will be stocking up on that paper!!! .....
OMG.. spew, spew, total spew!

Oh I am SO there! I have a P3 that is too heavy to lift into my minivan... it has probably well over 100 lbs of 12 x 12 paper in it!
What a nice way to put it! I never was in love with the set "Love Without End" but for some reason always liked the samples others made with them-just not my style.
I thought that loving LWOE was a prerequisite for being a demo ... and that was why I had trouble ... it's just NOT my set! So glad to hear that I'm not alone! ;)
Oh yes, the mini!
I founda lot I liked ... the snowflakes ... I live in Edmonton, I need snowflakes for cards, for scrapbooking, for shovelling (no, I didn't really mean that last one!)
I want to try the QuickCards. Even if I don't like them the way they are, individually, they'll work for other things. And they're not "Just" Christmas.
Heavenly Peace is nice, but I'd like it more if they hadn't scribbled over it with those diagonal lines (which are the same lines keeping me from buying En Pointe for my dd)
Now that the ladies who went to convention have a set or 2 of these sets from the holiday mini when do they start posting them here.I need to see samples. I always say no way I would never get that set, until I see it here first. Then certain sets grow on me.

Well, in the spirit of uniting, I must join your ranks. I, too, am an unrepentant paper slut. I used to just call myself a paper *****, but UPS (not the "big brown truck") is an equally appropriate title for me.
Love Holiday Thyme from the mini, as well as several from the IB&C. I rep another company and have absolutely all the paper from them, as well, so I am quite the UPS.
am i just missing it? i'm a new demo and i'm having a problem finding the mini on the SU demo site. HELP!

There is a sticky at the top of this forum with direction on how to apply for access to the demo forums here. I think you'll find lots of help on running your business there.

I personally love the SPRING MINI and got oodles of sets out of it. The SUMMER MINI I am only getting Bud Basics and the 2 matching wheels. As for the HOLIDAY MINI, I think I will only get the Nativity Set and a set of medium and large ribbon racks.
I spent the most $$ on the SPRING MINI or the Holiday Mini 2005, than on any other mini in the past 2 years. Sigh.....
Strange I just placed a SU order for $170 and got only 3 stamps (Fine Lace, Paisley and Peace Be Unto You). The rest was for paper, ribbon, the caddy extender, and the Neutral watercolor crayons....
Looks like this is the year I stock up on my paper, 2 more craft spots and ribbons. I think I have only 6 other stamp sets in the catalog that I wanted on my original wishlist.

Actually the sets demos got at convention are from the big catalog, not the holiday mini. Demonstrators can't preorder mini catalog sets until the 1st of August. So it will be a few more weeks before you start seeing any samples start popping up.
Personally, I LOVE the holiday mini, and can hardly wait to order from it! Which is BAD cause I have so much I want to order from the NEW full size catalog!
The new background papers are to die for, and the new ribbon and the ribbon organizer, and the notecards, and their are some cute sets. There is so many great things from the brand new catalog, that it's a good thing if some of you aren't in love with everything in the new mini. Count your blessings and save your cash for the next time!
Thanks so much for posting the link! I feel so sneaky! I have not looked at all of it (people are stolling into work), but I think some fun things could be done with the ornaments to make a Christmas themed card candy pack to give out.
YEAH, BABY!!! Sorry, I just saw Austin Powers (a little bit of it) for the first time... :-D
Can I be part of the club if my sister thinks I am a craft supply wh--- (rhymes with "store" and what I was actually saying to her on the phone was that I was a craft supply "hoarder" meaning I get lots of stuff and keep it --)LOL she thought I said that OTHER word that rhymes with store and I just about died -- I guess I can hang out with all the other paper sluts here now and feel comfortable about it, LOL!!!
I haven't looked at the mini yet... but I can say this: I won't say whether I like it or not, because almost ALL the time, I have to eat my words. Sets that don't appeal to me at first become my favorites after seeing a single card posted by one of our own SCS power stampers [you know who you are!].
So, I usually withhold my judgement until after I've seen the great color combinations, or the 'use this stamp a different way' card.
Me TOO! I am a "slow warmer upper" and I usually end up loving sets that I initially dislike. The list is long, my friends!
I ended up buying the Best Fiends set ( I love Halloween but this one is not initially appealing to me) because my customers are so excited about it and they will want me to include it in my "Boo to YOU!" Halloween Camp in September.
I love the papers, the ribbon, and the ribbon holder, and "Perfect Ending" is adorable!

Must haves: Ribbon and paper.
Maybes: Wishing You, Snow Flurries, Perfect Ending (I like how they fit in the hodgepodge pieces).
Ribbon organizer is cute but I have waaay more ribbon than I can fit in those things.
I can't believe there is no alphabet set to fuel my alpha addiction.
