I haven't given mine to my mom yet, but she likes cards with techniques. . . . loves to try and figure out how something was done. So I hope she likes the 'three techniques' card I made her this year.
my mom has been gone for 13 months now. I am sad today, but my dd and ds make thing all better today. They are making me smile!!!

wow! Looks like it took a long time to make, but well worth the effort!

I didn't even get a pic of the card that I gave my dd who is almost 10 weeks pregnant. I used a digital stamp of a baby playing with its toes on the front. On the inside I found a poem about how "those ten tiny toes will soon tiptoe into your life and leave their footprints on your heart forever". My dd loved it. She was so excited about her 1st Mothers day.
My mom loved her card! It was one of those rare cards that turned out exactly the way I planned it in my head and it came together in about 20 minutes. It usually takes me MUCH longer. LOL.
After I mailed my cards, I realized that I forgot to take pictures! So today when I make my phone calls I am going to ask them if they can take pictures and email them to me
My MIL (and FIL) loved the card........my mom and I have been playing phone tag all day, so I don't know what she thinks, but being a crafter herself I'm sure she loved it.
My mom loved hers...this one here. She wanted me to inspire her to get back to making cards, so I had to remind her to get out the idea notebook that I gave her a couple of years ago, and *copy* some cards.
In case you are wondering, I made an idea book for her with an index of all her stamp sets, and some very simple, very pretty card ideas for each one...so that she would copy them.
When my husband gets home from Iraq we are planning a road trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and my parents are going as well. I told my mom I had her box to mail out last week and she said to not mail it since we would see either other soon.. I decided to send it ups, but it won't get there until tomorrow.. I hope that she likes her card

Such a cute thread....she liked it...it made her cry....I put a bunch of the sentiments from Messages for Mom on the front (was actually a case of the yellow card in the occasions mini). It was funny, she was like "you stamped more on this one than you usually do" meaning all those sentiments, lol! Now the nightgown that I got her (I always get her one) was another story....it has to be sleeveless and long and this one was short as I could NOT find a long one...oh well....now she can return it and get what she wants, hehe.
Future MIL also liked her card and made a comment about the messages for mom stamp not looking like a stamp:-)
DF was laughing at all the dudes in Target last night scrambling for cards....he just looked at me and told me I'm sure I had it covered, hahaha!
Well, I guess I will have to wait a day or two to find out. I went to the post office Thursday morning and used their automated shipping thing to mail the package to my mom. Well, I guess their system did not calculate the amount of postage correctly since I got it back in the mail on Friday saying it had insufficient postage!! I was ticked. So I added more postage to it and sent it again, hoping it gets there tomorrow. Luckily the flowers I sent got there and I did call my mom - otherwise I would have been in the dog house.

My Mom loved hers and then my Dad said he loves my cards too and he added he keeps one I made for him on his dresser. I may be 53 but there's nothing like hearing that from my parents - makes me feel like I'm six and just brought home my first A! ;)

Don't have a pic and don't know if my mom liked the card! I called her this morning and actually had to ask her if she got the card and the gifts I sent (I sent the card separately because I bought books for her and sent them media mail and wasn't sure how long it would take for her to get them).
Anyhow, I'm not surprised she didn't mention the card - she never does! For a while, I hadn't been stamping and when I would send her store-bought cards, she would make comments about them not being handmade, but now that I am making them again, she never says anything. I'm not offended or anything - that's just the way she is.
I made one for my MIL and she loved it. She always comments that my cards are so pretty. She is funny. I had used a large button for the center of the flower and she asked if I wanted the button back because things are so expensive.
My mom loved her card! She even cried. It was the first tri-shutter card I have made. It wasn't as elaborate as a lot of them are, but that's okay. BUT, I totally forgot to take a picture of it!

this is the card that I sent to MIL.....haven't heard if she got it. I'm assuming she did since I sent it in plenty of time. She likes little mice ...so this was perfect for her.

That's a bigger reaction than I got from my mom. LOL! She's just not big on giving compliments for anything, and I know that. But I also know that she will display the card and show it to her friends, so it's OK.
She loved it - it's always hard to come up with something "different" for other card-makers and the design was unusual. You can see it here on my blog, or I just uploaded it to my (tiny) SCS gallery.
My MIL was out of town until this afternoon. I have no idea if she liked the card but according to my DH she loves the necklace that I made her. It's in the pic with the card.....
My mother passed in April this year (no need for sorrow--she was due with Alzheimer's and we are are thankful--God has her now) but my daughter did invite me to go to Jen Lancaster for a book signing her in Dallas and took me to dinner. It was an awesome event...but no card! Only because we had 120 wedding invites with 3 different insides to create! We are carded out....and now the replies to count. We figured we save over $500 making them! SCORE! More supplies for the wedding scrap books!

Oh JEALOUS! Jen Lancaster is my FAVE! It's like she lives in my head!!!!!!!!! Your daughter is awesome for taking you:-) Have you read any of her stuff? I JUST finished her new book today! So did you get to meet her then????
And fun stuff on the invites! We made about 150 a month or so ago for my wedding. So I totally know what you mean about being carded out! I need to post pics of mine, can we see yours at some point too??? :-)
