I've seen several different version of the "snowman soup" poem out there and now that I'm trying to find them again to create my own, I'm having trouble finding all of them so I can decide which I like best. Would anyone who knows one of the versions please post it below (if someone else hasn't already posted it) so they are all in one place to refer to!
Here's the version I'm using. I changed a couple of words from one I found to make it "scan" better:
So heard youve been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it.
With freezing weather very near,
Youll need to warm the spirit.
So heres a little Snowman Soup,
Complete with stirring stick.
Just add hot water sip it slow.
Its sure to do the trick!

Here's mine:
Snowman Soup
A little cup of cocoa,
I'm sending your way,
For you to sip and enjoy,
On some cold lonely day.
As you sip this cocoa,
It's warmth will warm your heart.
Just like our friendship warmed mine,
Right from the very start.
Bugga posted the Snowman Soup poem I used last year. Haven't started my soup yet. How much do you ladies charge for your snowman soup. I sold mine for $2 last year, but they didn't sell as fast as I thought they would. I just put the candy cane in mine. Haven't done the hersey kisses or marshmellows. I usually use the hot chocolate with marshmellows already in it for my Snowman Soup and the plain hot chocolate packs for my Santa Soup. Last year I even decorated a can of campbells tomatoe soup and sold it for $2 as santa soup. Only made one and it sold. I have been working on the M&M mini bags this afternoon. My goal is to have 200 ready. I only had 70 last year and sold out. I hope they are popular this year.

Do you have a picture of what yours look like? I charge $4.00 for mine but I use two frapp bottles.
I'm charging $5 for mine. It's a packet of hot chocolate, a pack of mini-marshmallows (factory sealed), a candy cane and some Hershey's Kisses. Here's my prototype (I didn't print the poem yet, but it will be on a tag that I put on the handle of the pail)...

Yours is super cute. I loved your bucket idea so much, I dashed to my Target and got some cute little red buckets, too. Funny, I've printed and matted my poem, but haven't quite decided what I'm going to do with the bucket yet.
I saw a really cute "snowman soup" that was in a paint can, and she tied lots of ribbon snippets all over the handle. It looked really good, so I think I will do that. I have lots of ribbon, and always save little pieces for projects.

Annette,
I saw that one too, it was really cute. You'll have to post a picture either here or on the craft fair thread when you finish it.
Thanks ladies for the snoman soup ideas. I too was looking for this and what it was ll about after reading about it everywhere...boy I sure do have a lot of work cut out for me...lol...
For all the souls who hate the noise
Of Christmas cheer and lights and toys
For Mr. Scrooge and Mrs. too,
here's a little gift for you...
A lump of coal won't be enough
to make up for the shine and fluff,
So, here's a scoop of reindeer poop
to offset all that Christmas goop!!
(just fill a baggie with chocolate covered anything)
**** I needed to add this for all the Bah! humbuggers out there -
**** you know who you are and every one knows at least ONE person they can give this to.

I don't have any close up pics of last years snowman or santa soup. I haven't made new ones for this year yet. Still trying to decide what to do with them so they sell better.

Hi Bugga,
Where do you find your factory sealed marshamallows? I'm having a heck of a time finding them, did you have to order them online?

Yikes! Quoted the wrong person...sorry! That sealed marshmallow packet question was for CAmomof2...

Thank you!
I got them at Smart and Final. It's the only place I was able to find them. They come in a variety pack, 4 white, 4 chocolate and 4 strawberry. I think I'll ask my grocery store if they can special order them for me. I will use the white and chocolate in the snowman soup, but my kids will end up with the strawberry ones.

msong, I'll give you an answer, too.
My fairs coming up are holiday church bazaars, and they will be having bake sales along with the bazaar. I figure if people are willing to buy homebaked cookies and cakes, a little bag of marshmallows will not bother them if it is not pre-packed.
I am going to just use little baggies of mini-marshmallows, and hope that people will buy my Snowman Soup.

For all of you who are planning on making Snowman Soup, I found some really cute mugs at the Dollar Tree this morning. I already have 12 of the Target buckets made up, but couldn't resist buying two of these to do also.
When the weather outside is frightful
Snowman Soup can be delightful
May it warm your spirit and soul
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When you feel a chill or buuurrrr
Use the peppermint stick and stir
Add hot water and snowballs too
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Then I found on D.A.I.S.I.E company website the Huggacino. There is an adorable printable there, for a hot chocolate wrapper with the poem on it. I love it! It's perfect for giving a good friend a thing of hot chocolate. It says
Flakey friends Huggacino:
Snowfriends are made of glittery flakes
Each a gorgeous creation that God makes
Like our friendship each flake is unique
Delicate and precious but never weak
While you sip this you'll know it's true
That I so very appreciate all that is you.
You are my special flakey friend
And I will treasure you to my very end
This Huggacino is for your mug
Sent with thanks and a warm hug
I can't find it anymore on her website but it was so adorable and easy, print the wrapper, cut and tape, and slip in the hot chocolate.
