Snap stamps?
I've seen these mentioned in several posts and went to the gallery in search of examples, but I'm still not sure what they are? Who sells them? and if I need them? ")
You can get them at joann's. They are a Karen Foster product..
They are these awesome little alpha sets that "snap" together so you can stamp a whole word at a time!
They are super cool!!!

i was wondering what they were myself... actually sounds like it could be messy. i guess i would need to see them to better understand how they work. i read somewhere about them too, they hadn't mentioned that you snap them together, someone said there are more than one size and that she had actually broke some too. i think i need to get a look at these.
I got mine from KT crafts. I got the 1/4 and 1/8" casual. Some posters have said to order 2 of each size so that you don't run out of letters. I just ordered one set of each, there are several of each vowel included in a set apparently.

Joanns.com doesn't carry the matching numbers but KTCrafts does. I have both the 1/8" & 1'4" and use them all the time. I would say I use the 1/8" more. I have 2 sets of alphabets in both sizes so I have more letters when I want to do more words at a time. One set comes with 2 of most of the consanents & 4 of each of the vowels.
The 1/8" works with the word window punch.
I had 1 of my stamps break, but just glued it back together with crystal effects and haven't had any further problems.
And I have multiples of the same set so that I can stamp multiple words at the same time. There are duplicates of the letters, but it always seemed as if I needed one more of a letter. I just pulled a couple x's off their posts and use the empty stick as a spacer.
I also keep a few words together all the time because I use them a lot - Thank You, Happy, Birthday, etc.
I have both sizes in the casual and love them. I use the small set more often than the large though. Perfect for tags or around a slide or frame. It's fun to be able to make up my own sayings so I can customize my card. I agree that two sets are better. I do run out of letters quickly and one set just isn't enough for many of the sayings I stamp. I bought mine when they were on sale at Joann's on line store.
I have not seen them at the store..I should have mentioned in my earlier post that it was joanns.com...
Also, I have never had a problem with mine, they work great!!
What I do for phrases like that is: After spelling out the words, I tape them together with Scotch tape before inking them up and stamping. That way the placement is good. I just love them. I use the 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch casual ones the most. I bought some at joann.com and some at ktcrafts.com -- they are often out of stock!
I got mine from addictedtorubberstamps.com. I got the 1/8" and 1/4" casual and the "1/4 formal. I love them and am going to go back and look for more fonts! Here is a card I made using the 1/8" casual --see the words on the tag. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
