Default SLC Visit

Hi all!

Need your help!

DH and I plan to visit SLC at the end of June to go to IKEA, but I would like some other ideas of shopping destinations -- specifically scrapbooking shops, of course! Not sure where we'll stay -- probably a Comfort Inn somewhere.

Also, anyone know anything about the brunch at Little America? I have heard that it is "really good," but that's it!

THANKS!

I live here in SLC. I haven't had the Little America brunch but the Grand America brunch is phenomenal (also pricey so I've only been once). Definitely eat at the Red Iguana if you like Mexican food and have the time. Order one of their moles. It is the best restaurant in town. My favorite restaurant is Mazza's so if you like Lebanese food, I highly recommend it.

My favorite scrapbooking store is Paper Creations. It is huge with a really nice staff. It's close to downtown. Does Denver really not have an IKEA? Note that a lot of stuff is closed here on Sunday (not IKEA) so plan accordingly.

Cheers,
Jen

Nope, we don't! They are building one that will be done summer of 2010, and that is just too long to wait! LOL

Thanks for the note about Sunday. I guess that will be IKEA day!

I also reccommend Mazza and Paper Creations. PC has the nicest, friendliest, most-helpful owners I've ever met. I actually made them a card last month because I was so enamored with them.

Paper Creations is about a 25-30 minute drive from the IKEA area. Mazza is probably about another 10-15 from that.

Not stamping or scrapping related, but when I went to convention a million years ago, I walked around the Salt Lake Temple and its surrounding area in Temple Square. It's beautiful.
