Default Sign on special for SU??

I heard there is a $99 sign on special. Is this the best time to sign up to be a demo?

It's always the best time!

the $99 is a smaller kit, and you don't get the extra free set like you would for the $199 kit. But it's a great deal!

I think it's a great time to sign up as a demo.

One thing to keep in mind when signing up as an SU! demo is that with your first order of $150 or more, if placed in your first 45 days, you get a 30% discount or instant income instead of the normal 20%. And with the new special on stamp sets, the Big Shot, etc. you'd meet that $150 with no problems.

The most important thing to consider though, if you are going to make this a business, is to sign up with an upline you are happy with. Interview several demos before you make a final decision, if you don't have a demo in mind already!

Good luck and have fun whatever you do!

I have been a demo for 5 years and have never seen this type of special before. But I agree with Pepesmon about signing up under a person you are happy with. They will be your support, trainer, encourager, cheerleader, and friend.
Now choosing which Starter Kit....that's the decision!

It's the beginning of an exciting new catalog year, introduction of the Big Shot and Decor Elements. And, I would guess there is not likely to be another kit special until Sale-a-bration (Feb/March).

I also am wanting to sign up as a demo. The one girl I talked to about it though said that they didn't offer the $99. kit no more. I have so much stuff & i am anxious to get started but the $199. kit is going to take me more time to sign on. So they are still offering this? And also is SU selling the BIG SHOT or just the folders & that? I don't see it no where in the catalog. And she didn't know nothing about it either?!

Dawn, I have sent you a PM. There should be a little green envelope in the upper right corner of the forum!

Dawn1230,

SU is offering, beginning today, a special mini-kit starter option until October 11. You can choose one of 3 small start kits (a stamping one, a scrapbooking one, or a decor elements one) for $99. These are bare bones kits that have business supplies and only a few products.

As for the Big Shot, they'll be selling that later this year. (September, I think. Someone chime in if I'm wrong.) They'll be offering both BS dies and special SU-only dies.

The $99 kit special starts today. Not sure why your demonstrator told you otherwise, but you want to rethink singing up under someone who isn't up-to-date with current promotions.

In answer to others, when you are ready and able to join is ALWAYS the best time. I've been a demonstrator for over 7 years- signed up right after a big promotion ended- and have never regretted my decision to join. Had I waited for the next big promotion to join, I probably would have changed my mind or talked myself out of this wonderful business opportunity.

Can you sign up online? I thought you had to sign up through your demo - via snail mail.

Thanks!

You can do it online. Go to your demo's website and click the "join now" link at the top.

If you want to sign up under your current demonstrator she can go to the Printing Place and download the current forms for you to complete. The old forms are no longer valid. I think Stampin' Up! is encouraging everyone (demonstrators) to have websites to make it easier on our potential recruits to sign up.

This IS a fantastic time to sign up because of the new catalog AND all the other new items Stampin' Up! is launching (Decor Elements, Phase I & II, and the Big Shot with exclusive dies for Stampin' Up!) and with the holidays just around the corner it's just great timing. The $99 special is one of the best I've seen in my years as a demonstrator. So, why wouldn't you sign up?

Depending upon your Post Office it should get to Stampin' Up! in 2 days. Congratulations on re-signing!
