Default Show me your scraps

Though more of a card maker I recently finished a scrapbook for a friend. Now I have a rather large collection of different scraps and don't know what to do with them. Most are solid colors and some could be used for layering, but most are strips.

Was wondering if anyone had any pictures of cards they used their scraps for. I really don't want to throw them away. (or at least right now).

Thanks

I tend to make a lot of 5X7 sized cards so i ended up with many many skinny-ish strips..
so if its 3" wide, i cut it off at 6" score & fold in the center and turn it into an mini gift tag type card...

if its too skinny for that sometimes it ends up embellishing the 3X3 cards, and if its really skinny i use border dies such as the PTI ric rac and punch it...

just some random thoughts, hth.

I only made one quilt card a long time ago (at a stamp camp) - would have made more but I lost the directions. I was thrilled when I recently found this tutorial (see link below) as the technique was fun and beautiful. It is an awesome way to use scraps:

Working on the card for Matt Brown. Had to see about helping with prep for hurricane. Family lives in Valley. I made a baseball themed card-silly graphic. Hope that s okay. Hope Tah Dah is okay down in Harlingen/San Benito area. All our South Texas families be safe. Cameron county under tornado warning already this morning.

Thanks for the card for Matt ... I am hoping to have enough stuff still unpacked to get a card made too but felt the least I could do was spread the word through my siggy.

I also hope all our SCS family is/remains safe ... Mother Nature can be scary at times.

Happy Crafting!
