Are craft supplies hard to come by in Europe? I've noticed that whenever I sell stamps or scrapbooking tools on eBay, I get a lot of international buyers, despite the high shipping costs.

I can only speak for Holland, but products tend to be expensive and companies often charge high shipping costs (within The Netherlands). I don't have a local craftstore so have to order online. When the $$ price compared to Euro is good it can be cheaper to order from the USA.
Another thing is that not all products are available over here. I would love to have a SMASH book (K&Company) but haven't found those over here (yet). And when something is available it's sold out quickly or they don't offer a whole line of products so you have to shop around to get coordinated things.
I get a lot of stuff from Frantic Stamper - rubberstamp & scrapbook supplies.
Shipping depends on whether it will fit in a priority mailer or needs a larger box (as when there are 12x12 papers), but she carries a wide range of stuff and is great to deal with.
I started ordering from Simon says stamps a year ago and it is great. Very cheap shipping to Europe, you find all you need and fast shipping.
I am not connected to the company, I am just a happy customer.
