My friend claims that the Hand Stamped bottom left, comes with the words "This space could be used for a message" on the stamp. I say it does not. Her reasoning is that the message is in a retro font ON the image and she says if it were not on the actual stamp they would have put the message in a little pink box like the one above. I say it is totally stupid to have that on the stamp itself, but what she says does make me wonder. Any ideas?
I also think it's actually on the stamp. I probably won't buy this set (ha - right!), but if I did, I'd be cutting that part out of the image/rubber completely when I mounted it. I wouldn't ever use that line, I'm sure, so wouldn't want to have to use a marker to omit it every time I used it.
Pretty sure it's on the stamp. And pretty sure it's pointless and also hideous. Maybe it was supposed to be a cute retro thing or something? Like Charming Children were *supposed* to be charming, not creepy?

Well, I'm a demo and I'm too cheap to purchase the cattys ahead of time... so shame on me... However, you would think SU would give you the 'free' catty before others had them in the mail... whatever. I'm bitter. I have to view the catty online like others... I just think SU should give demos a little more R-E-S-P-E-C-T... We are selling their goods afterall... I'll be able to answer your question... maybe mid-July. BITTER. Sorry.
I've seen frame stamps for SBing that actually say in the centre, "Place photo here," so I totally believe the "message could go here" is part of the stamp. I think it's pretty dumb, too. I mean, who stamps a frame for a picture and then is totally at a loss as to where to put their photo??
 I have no idea.. I can't read what's in the pink box either  I can't wait to get a catty in my hands so I'm not looking on the website!

I think it's on the stamp, too! btw...glad to hear I was not the only one who thought that "Charming Children" weren't very charming!
I'm taking a leap here, but I cannot believe that it would actually be on the stamp. I was totally assuming that it's not part of the rubber. I vote no, can't possibly be on there! I'll bet my ATCs on it... oh yea, I don't have any ATCs. Well I still can't believe it!

The pink box says "Circle numbers in the bar code to indicate a year on scrapbook pages, birthday cards and more". It's for the set above the one in question.
Almost positive that it IS on the stamp -- why would the writing be in the same gray as the stamp, and not in black like the rest of the writing in the catty?

My question would also be WHY???? That totally doesn't make sense to put it on the stamp...but it really does look like it's there!!!! Someone needs to call DS tomorrow and ask them! Silly!

I think that it's on the stamp because the set has a set of four stamps and four stamps are pictured. If it were separate then it would be sold as a set of five.
Someone really curious enough -and a demo-could order it, look at it and send it back. Can't you get some kind of a return number and send it back free? Just how curious are we???????
Definitely a part of the stamp. Strange, yes. It's like those "Hello" stickers where it says "my name is." I mean really, can't it just be blank where you write your name? Does anyone really think it's something other than your name? Especially at a gathering?
OH MY GOSH...I just had to post here after seeing the US price for this set....
Canadian Price for this set is 43.95  What a jack up on price...That kind of makes me sick to my stomach...
AND, i too think it is acctually on the stamp (the saying i n question) Dumb, yes...

It seems in keeping with the markup between US and CAD. I was browsing both the Canadian and the US catties on catty premiere night and noticed that sets that cost $29 US were $38 CAD (unless my memory fails me -- I'm more than certain I'll be corrected if I'm wrong).
I have to agree with your friend on this one. I think that it's crazy...but it does look like it is included as part of the rubber. I don't know why it is included.
question on another stamp, in the I did it set (pg189) would you honestly check the box that says copied?
I thought that was a neat stamp until I got to the 'copied' part. It would have been different if it said CASEd because that doesn't have such a negative connotation to me. Non-SCSrs wouldn't know wtfrig it means, but that's okay. I would feel bad checking off 'copied' because what is the recipient supposed to think about how valued they feel as a card recipient? "When you care enough to go through the motions but not enough to actually try to be creative?"
