Session I attendees, any advise for us Session II?
I am packing up my goodies and I was wondering if there is anything that those of you who attended session one were missing. Especially curious about the PJ night. The Convention Letter only says to bring your scissors and scrub and mist. Did you wish you had anything with you?
It was my first convention and I had a blast....
I wish I had an umbrella it rained and we needed one....SU really did a great job of providing what we needed! My mom brought mist and scrub and our table shared it. We also shared stamp sets so our table wasn't too full of stamps.
The PJ party was fun and you had people in any any all manner of outfits. Groups wore matching things (slippers, hats, t-shirts etc)
They did a pajama parade, it was very entertaining!
Lunch box lunches were a bit "tricky", if you're a fussy bring snacks! Really bring snacks anyway, days are very full and busy.
Enjoy!

Make sure you bring something to drink to Convention. It was a pain to get something to drink (stand in line & pay too much money or leave the building & go a few blocks to get something) and they even ran out of water for lunch a couple of times.
Get your photo taken as early as possible - lines formed later. Do your Memento shopping early - especially for ribbon charms (I never got one).
Arrive at the PJ party on time so you'll be able to complete your projects.
Don't stress about mounting your Fast & Fun Notes before the PJ party. You don't need them until the watercolor class - and then you only need the bird and the vase of flowers. I'd recommend watching the demo at the watercolor class. I felt like I didn't see any of it because I was frantically trying to do the projects.
There's an area in the Marketing displays where you can do a survey and enter to win stuff. Do that early on too because the computers were constantly being used as time went on.
People were always looking to swap, so don't feel like you have to do it all on the first day. (It was my first Convention, so I didn't know how anything worked going into it.)
Drink plenty of water, you'll need it! Get it elsewhere other than the convention Centre or your hotel or you'll be paying way too much! Take good comfortable shoes or sandals.
Make sure to bring along a small umbrella (checked in your luggage). We had a thunderstorm go through Friday afternoon and my friend had to find shelter on her way back to the hotel from the convention center. She ended up in the Hyatt and had to buy a small umbrella for $15.00!
That was the only thing we missed and ended up needing. We followed ChiChi Allen's "What to Bring to Convention" list to a "T" and had everything else we needed.
Have FUN!!!!!

I also recommend the umbrella! That is the one thing I really wished I had.
And definitely drink plenty of water. If you can bring a couple with you, I would. It is very expensive if you have to buy anything from the Convention Center!
And most importantly - have a blast! This was my first Convention and I already can't wait for next year!!
Arrive at the PJ party on time so you'll be able to complete your projects.
I second this!! We wandered over after dinner around 7:15-7:30 ish. The projects were a bit more in depth than we expected and hence we skipped at least 1 project (some at the table skipped 2) due to time constraints. And you know how chatty it is with people stopping by to catch up, etc. So, definitely plan on attending from the start. And if you finish early, more time for a martini at the Corner Office in the Curtis! :-) Have fun!

An umbrella is a good extra. I'd also suggest an extra little duffle bag for any extras you may end up with (if you're a shopper that is). I thought about it as I've never been to Denver, but I didn't and ended up buying a rolling duffle (Ross on 16th for $21). I also got it because I didn't want to smash everything together in my luggage. And Yes, lots of water!! If you have time to buy some at Walgreens, then you should try and do that. I felt fatigue with the heat and altitude so lots of water is a good idea!! Other than that, bring your energy, camera and smiles and have a great time!!
