I just ordered the Moose You set (so excited!!) The main images have sentiments right below them. Should I separate them and mount the sentiments on the side of the blocks or just mask it? What do you do when you get a set like this? Thanks!
It depends on the set. Sometimes the sentiments really go with that particular image. If so, I leave it alone. So much easier to line up when it is with the image. However, some sentiments are so versatile and separating them makes more sense.

Sometimes, I separate the sentiments but I do not mount them on the side (but sometimes I do). Instead, I use them with an acrylic block. And then, if I want to use them again with the image, I use double-stick tape to tape it back onto the original image.
I have Moose You and did separate the sentiments and mounted on the side of the block... my only warning is that the sentiments are soooo skinny when separated that they become hard to stamp with. It works okay for me because i rarely use the sentiments but if you plan to use them regulary i would leave it all intact and then mask when you need to. my 2 cents

That is exactly what I was worried about! I'm glad you commented because knowing that has probably made my decision!! Thanks!!
I find it much easier to use markers and selectively ink the part that I want if I'm not looking to use the entire stamp image. If I do want to mask one part, putting a piece of scotch tape over the part I don't want to ink and then peeling that off before stamping works better than trying to put the mask on the card stock.
