I really love this thread. I don't have a blog. I always wanted to start one. It was never a good time.
I do have Photo galleries. I don't have an active one right now. That's where I usually do most of my descriptions. I am flattered to be Pinned.
I love to read blogs of all kinds talking about personal lives and ones that don't. If the blogs inspire me it's the only thing that matters to me.
See my blog for my details- It doesn't bother me too much. I can usually tell who is just trying to get traffic and those who are just linking to their blogs. Traffic blogs I tend to stay away from. Not my cup of tea.
It does bother me when DT members write "see my blog for more details" then you go over there and get pounced on by an online sales pitch. Some DT members are so bad I won't shop from the companies.
Commenting on a blog post so you can pin it defeats the whole thing of Pinterest. Pinterest is an online bookmarking site. My husband sets next to me every night and repins all sorts of things. He never checks links. He's just pinning because he likes the things and he wants a visual bookmark to refer back too. I guess he's a bad person because he doesn't leave comments.
Most of the time people are repinning and you can't expect them to leave a comment. IMO that is just as bad as "See my blog". Bloggers are already getting the best traffic from repins. That should be amazing and flattering enough.
