So, I have been thinking, and I have a few SCS New Years resolutions-
I joined the Christmas 2010 Card challenge, and will make 10 cards a month
I will do two card request/ RAK/ swap for charity a month
I will leave at least one comment a day on someone's gallery
I will post at least one photo a week in my gallery
and- most important-
I resolve to get off the dang computer and craft more often LOL!!
so, spill, do you have any SCS resolutions
First thing I want to do is minimize my stuff and try to use up what I have. I'd also like to scrap alot more and send another box of cards for our soldiers (this yr I sent 100, trying to get more then that done for 2010).
ok, y'all may think I'm nuts but mine is to use each & every one of my stamp sets at some time next year! At 100+ sets it may take awhile but I am stoked!
I love the computer too! I would really like to focus on trying to sell more cards (which means making more cards)--it is a great way for me to use up my product and advance my skills. The computer is hard to give up because I see so many great ideas on here and in other blogs!!
I also want to try to use unusual colors, or at least colors I normally do not gravitate to.
Craft-related resolutions:
-set up craft room in a different area in the house
-don't get too obsessed with little things to do with the blog (blog subscribers, hits/day etc)
-instead of vegging out on the couch after school, do some crafting
-try to get published again.. i haven't applied in over a year.
-I think I can handle another DT... get on one more!
good luck with all of your resolutions!

- try my hand at getting published
- use some of my older sets
- not let my crafting take over some valuable family time....
- put together some promised tutorials for my blog (you all know how it is...just not enough time in the day!) lol
it is fun to read these- we all need to resolve to ask Father Time to extend the day, so we have all that extra time to craft LOL
here's the link to the 2010 Christmas Card Challenge..... i know i will never need 120 Christmas cards, but i am making 10 a month anyway- just some may be non-Christmas, and I will send those off as RAKs. If worse comes to worse, i will bundle the cards together with a cute pen and give those as gifts next year LOL.... Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Great thread. Off the top of my head--
grant more wish-rak wishes
send my wish-rak birthday cards on time
catch up on swaps
try a challenge or two
unmount my stamps
clean, organize and weed my stuff

Continue to:
1) Stay AHEAD of cards for occassions for family & friends
2) Continue to recite my mantra DAILY and LIVE IT: "Life is short... so use the 'good stuff'". (I want to overcome my tendency to hoard pretty papers and embellishments in fear that once I use them they will be "gone").
3) Use more of my unused sets - I have lucky enough to blessed with lots of pretty sets that I haven't used because once I do they won't be "new" (why do I elevate the fact that a set is "new"?) - what good is a "new" set if it goes unused? DUH!
4) Use more of my unused tools as well.
5) Clean up immediately after stamping so my space stays clear and beckons me to stamp more often.
New goals for 2010:
6) Create a card file to help me accomplish goal #1 above - I also signed up for CCC10 which will help (110 cards for the holidays thanks to CCC09! WOO HOO!)
7) START SCRAPBOOKING! I have the books, photos, and layouts in my heads - time to actually CREATE something!
8 ) Start a blog? (I'd like to, so maybe I can be considered to join a Design Team some day, even if it just for a temporary guest spot).
9) Finish the stamp index I began
10) Create a Nesties Index
11) Finish mounting all my bare rubber sets onto EZ Mount
12) Improve my sponging technique
13) Continue to do more SCS & other companies' challenges
14) SPEND LESS - remind myself every time there is a new release with one of the many many stamp companies I loooooooove that I already am lucky enough to have lots of cool stuff to craft with - and ask myself 'do I really reallyLOVE a particular set or product?' for perspective.
I did pretty well with my Crafting Goals for 2009, hopefully I will be as successful in 2010. Good luck everyone!
I just joined the Christmas card challenge, so that is one of my resolutions. Along with that, I need to start a gallery, so that is resolution number two! Also, I just want to create more and buy less (of course I say this every year, but I will keep trying!). Merry Christmas everyone and good luck with your resolutions!

Giving them as gifts is a great idea - I had a bunch left over this year as well. I ended up sending them to the troops to send home to their families while they are stationed overseas. Operation Write Home if you care to check it out. Some people sell them at craft fairs and use them in silent auction baskets at schools and stuff. If you have the time to make the ten card a month and end up with extra there are LOTS of good uses for them.

Submit more to magazines
Make sure to keep my deadlines to charity.
To use alot of my stash, instead of buying alot.
I do new things and get out of my comfort zone.
Just do it!
use up instead of buying more
clean up everytime I craft
don't buy project supplies until I'm ready to begin the project.
reduce number of stamp sets (redunancy drives me crazy)
enjoy what I do

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
When I started working here, the crafty part kinda went by the wayside! I would like to actually use what I have and buy rather than just look at it or buy more fun storage items to put it all away in. Maybe even try stamping more than once a week. . . .we shall see!
Stamp to Spend Challenge
X-Mas Card Challenge (10cards/month)
Start a gallery here at SCS
Start a blog
get my new craft room completely organized.
Join in 1-2 challenges a month (SAC, and/or another in addittion to above)
Use up my stockpile of embellishments
Only buy quality stamps and paper
Stamp an average of 10 hours a week
spend less time on SCS and more playing
Try to get onto 1 DT or beome a SU Hobby/Class Demo (still deciding which is better for me)
Resume to teaching 1 class a month
Submit at least 4 cards for publication
Stop hoarding my favorite embellishments and papers, use them and buy more!!!
Finsh my sons 0-1 and 1-2 year old scrapbooks. ok... try to finish birth to 1 and work on 1-2.
As I write this, it appears to be alot.. but it isn't...Mainly I need to dedicate more time to making cards and less to the PC and TV. Card-Making is therapy to me, it makes me happy and cheerful. I had to stop making cards for almost 18 months due to my son and his needs, now he is healthy, and it is time to allow myself more me-time and not feel guilty!
Organization!
• Weed through and donate my huge stock of patterned paper that I had to have, bought in duplicate, and don't love any more.
• Sell unused/unloved stamps.
• Sell old Club Scrap papers, stamps, and complete kits.
• Get my unmounted stamps into a system where I will actually use them. Putting them into binders isn't working for me. I plan to use some holiday $ for that.
• Organize my scraps and recycle those that are really too small to use.
Stamping/papercrafting:
• Introduce my uninked stamps to ink and make a card with each of them.
• Create at least one card/project a day by doing challenges and such.
• Create a stock of "Thank You", "Thinking of you", and "Get Well" cards that I can just grab and use. (Using my uninked stamps for this would be a three-fer!)
• Create projects using all the "alterables" that I collect.
• Blog more regularly, but doing the above would lead to this!
• Improve my coloring skills with a variety of mediums.

15) Organize my scraps - someone mentioned this and I was shocked I had forgotten to list it! LOL!
1.To organize my craft room and clean up after I craft.
2. Join a Christmas card challenge to make Christmas cards every month ( I didn't make any this yr either...and it's the first yr...so ashamed LOL) 3. Use more of my stash/ spend less.
4. Send more Wish Raks and do more Raks
5. Use more of my stamp sets. (I do like the resolution someone else posted about using all their stamp sets) 6. Do more challenges and do more scrapbooking.
