I don't think I'm going to be swapping, as much as I would like to. I just don't have time to make that many cards before Saturday. (Why does life always seem to intervene? :? )
On a totally different note - why is it that this thread is always a page behind? I.e., it says: "Page 14 of 13" and you can't move ahead! Sorry - that's just been bugging me. Thank you.
Can't wait to meet everyone on Saturday!! - J.
THERE MAY BE AN OPPOURTUNITY FOR A FEW MORE PEOPLE TO ATTEND OUR GET TOGETHER ON SATURDAY THE 26TH.
IF YOUR ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAS NOT REGISTERED BUT WANT TO COME PLEASE EMAIL ME DIRECTLY ASAP!
I WILL LET YOU KNOW IN THE NEXT DAY HOW MANY OPENINGS I HAVE LEFT.
If any of you have these supplies, extras for my demo would be greatly appreciated so that it doesn't take forever for everyone to finish because they have to wait to use what I bring.
Itty Bitty Background set
Love Without End set
Wonderful Words set
Small Plaidmaker set (just need the wider template)
Foam brayer
Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss classic pads
Pale Plum Stampin' Write marker
If you can bring any of these things to use at my table, please make sure you label everything with your name or initials.
Thanks so much and I can't wait to meet all of you... see you Saturday!
My friend, Carn, won't be able to attend as she has to fly to North Dakota to see her mom who is critically ill. If you can fill her place that would be great.
I am heading out the door, to drive to Denver. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to such a wonderfully fun and creative event! It was so nice to meet everyone and share ideas, and learn so many new techniques. I had a lot of fun!
And a special thanks to Julie for all her organization and hard work, and to the demonstrators, Linda, Connie, Robyn and Jayne, for all their work and donation of talents!
What a super-nice group of ladies, and I am just so happy to finally have the chance to put names with faces. Can't wait to do it again!
Thanks again, everyone. - J.
P.S.: Sonya - how did you get away from me w/o showing me that infamous tattoo??? :?
I just want to say thanks to everyone who helped put the get together together, and also to everyone who attended. It wouldn't have been a success if no one was there. You are all a tremendous group of talent and creativity, and I learned a little bit from everyone I met!
Here's the recipe for the cookies in the tupperware container. I hope it attaches ok. I'm not too good at the computer stuff!
I'm looking forward to our next SCS Colorado get together!!!
OK, my attachment didn't work. Can someone help me? I scanned the recipe into a file, but I get a message that says it is too big to attach. What do I do now?
I was trying to make this easy on myself, but I think the easiest thing to do is to type it all out.
Chocolate Caramel Oatmeal Chews
2 c. quick or old fashioned oats
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour, divided
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 c. butterscotch caramel ice cream topping
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 pkg. (6 oz) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Combine oats, 1 1/2 c. of the flour, brown sugar, and baking soda. Add butter; mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 c. crumb mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of pan. Bake 15 min.
2. Combine ice cream topping and 1/4 c. flour; whisk until smooth. Drizzle over bottom crust; spread to edges of pan.
3. Combine pecans and reserved crumb misture. Sprinkle crumb mixture and chocolate morsels evenly over caramel mixture. Bake 15-18 min or until golden brown and bubbly. Remove to cooling rack and cool completely. Cut into bars.
Oh ladies, that was soo fun and I was so tired after that day! I sure hope we can do this again. You are all lovely people. And Her Lameness was there and everything. Thanks for the good time.
Hey everyone! I so enjoyed myself on Saturday. Everyone is so great and I had so much fun putting faces with names and meeting everyone! I too can't wait to have another one...give us a bit to recoup from this one though...
I asked Jenn to make a gallery for us so that we can post all our pictures and lovelies. So when you upload your photos, look for "Special Collections->Stamping Events-> Colorado SCS Get Together" . Everything can be filed there. I will try to get photos posted later today. DD has preschool and Catie is getting ready to head south to the Springs to visit with Girlygirl for a bit. So, I want to spend a little time with her before she goes.
Thanks again to all the demonstrators - Linda, Janye, and Connie! You all are the best. Julie, you are such a wonderful lady and "I don't hate you because you're beautiful".  You did an amazing job pulling this all together. All your hard work did not go unnoticed and it was all very much appreciated.
I need to get, but will post the pics when I can. I know that there were others that had cameras there and if you want to post pics then please do so. I couldn't get pics of everything...ie the coronation... . So, please share photos with all.
Check in later....

I wanted to let you all know how much fun I had on Saturday. Major thanks to Julie for organizing this great get together and to Robyn for arranging a place for us to meet.
Thanks to Robyn, Connie, and Linda for the demos/make & takes.... they were all wonderful! The name tags, checkbook cover and beaded pen were also fun.
I want to thank everyone that made my make & take and thought it was a nice card. I always worry that no one will like what I demo but you wonderful ladies made my day.... thanks!!!
I hope we can do this at least twice (maybe 3 or 4) times a year

Thanks so mcuh!!! Let me know!!!

21 gone 5 or maybe more to go!!!!!
I was just at The Recycled Lamb where Connie said she got the fibers and I couldn't find the one she used. There is a huge selection of fibers but none of them matched what she had for her make and take. A friend of mine and I are going to go to a shop in Boulder next week to check out what they have. The fibers aren't cheap... $5-$10 a skein.
The skeins I got are 50 grams each. One states that there is 165 yards and it was $10... which I guess is cheap considering how much you get. The other one was on sale for $5.94. They were both made in Italy. I use ribbons but am excited to start using fibers more with my cards.
Thanks! My problem living here is there are no places to get that kind of thing...so I usually have to got to *bay to find anything like it...thanks so much for your help!
