Default SCS Changes??

I have been browsing around on the forums (trying to stay awake)

and I have read a couple places where SCS has been bought out or sold?

Should we be concerned?

I think the sale took place months ago. The problem I have with this website, is all of the pop-up ads!! It's rediculous!! YOu don't even have to scroll over them, and they pop up!! Sprint is especially bad for that!! Please...Oh please...do something about these pop-up ads!!

I agree; the pop up ads are annoying

SCS was purchased over 1.5 years ago by NameMedia (note the logo at the bottom of all pages). All is well in that area. Not to worry. ;)

We definitely appreciate your concerns, Karen. We have a running thread regarding the expandable ads in the Site Questions & Suggestions forum.

I don't get ANY pop ups here! Guess my anti-virus/pop up blocker software is doing it's job. YAY!

Default Pesky Pop-ups...

I inadvertently discovered that if I get a pop-up ad, just mouse over to your scroll bar and move it slightly up or down the pop-up disappears. I refuse to click on pop-ups. Ill close the browser before I do that!

Firefox and Internet Explorer have settings for pop-ups you can tweak in their tools menus. I have a pc with Vista and run Firefox with the Adblock Plus add-on. It really works! Very seldom a pop-up gets through on the odd web page but never here. I also run McAfee's anti-virus, firewall and their site advisor Firefox add-on.
