Default Scrapbooks, etc magazine..Worth the subscription?

I love reading magazines, all magazines actually! So I'm wondering if there is any feedback for Scrapbooks, etc magazine? It's going to be the wednesday "deal of the day" on Best Deal magazines and I'm just thinking in advance. So anyone?? Good, bad, waste of money??

I rather like it. I'm not a scrapbooker, but, one of the features I have loved in the past in that magazine are the "element" ideas, which are great to use on card-making, and the "trend watch" page.

I haven't bought a copy in a while tho--had serious magazine mountains and had to cut back cuz no room to store the darn things.

I do love cozying up with a good mag in bed, tho, or when on the road. ;)

I really like it. I really like their pull out sketches. This one and Creating Keepsakes are my favorites. I subscribe to 4, I think. I am going to drop Memory Makers, I think.

I like it, too. Especially if you get a good price on it, I think it would be worth it.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really glad and a little surprised it got such great reviews! I know so many of us have stacks of mags that weren't worth the money! But for that price, I'll have to go for it! Thanks again everyone! I'm so glad I asked!

I haven't bought a scrap magazine in a long time. I find that I look at them, but haven't been compelled to buy any. However, I preferred this one to Creating Keepsakes and occassionally I would splurge (well I used my Michael's coupon) and buy a Scrapbook Trends or Cards magazine--depending on what I saw.

Low price subs has it for $8 for one year, but if you use coupon code JULY then you can get it for around $6. Here's the link to their home page, and Scrapbooks, Etc. can be found under the hobbies section:

http://www.lowpricesubs.com/

I really prefer Scrapbooks, Etc. to Creating Keepsakes, so I'm going to let my Creating Keepsakes subscription run out.

I love this one! I really like that you can pull out all the sketches. I read this one, paper crafts and creating keepsakes. Every so often I take Memory makers out from the library.

Thanks! I used the code you gave and got the magazine at that price. I love magazines and will buy pretty much anything for a dollar a magazine!

Thanks thread! the other site linked, lowpricesubs has the magazine my DH reads for $4 for TWO years! And it comes every two weeks, I can't even figure out how cheap that is per issue.

I'm all about these cheap magazine subscriptions! I have been paying full price for everything.

One of my favorite magazines! Creating Keepsakes is the other. I don't know about anyone else but, towards the front there is almost always a Michael's 20% off entire purchase coupon. Last week I saved about $7...almost the price of the magazine.

Hope that helps you?

This is my favorite SB magazine now. I used to love CK, but I just don't get too much out of it any more. I really didn't like the first couple issues after they changed their format--I didn't even keep them.

I just went to Low Price Subs and got it for a little over $6, PLUS I got Rachel Ray and Elle Decor... my total $12.60 for all 3! WOW!!!!

Thanks for the info!!!!!!

Scrapbooks etc is the only magazine I get. I really like it, even though I rarely scrap!

My DH says these sites are often scams, does anyone have experience with them? I want to get a pile of magazines on the cheap.

I've never used any of these sites, but I do get some magazines through Dial America. They have good prices and sometimes they donate to certain worthy causes. My daughters Brownie troop does a Readers Digest sub sale each fall and I order my CK mag through them. They get 25% of the cost to keep for the troop. I love CK and have ordered Card Maker which is completely unimpressive im my opinion.

I heard about lowpricesubs on 2peas, and the girls there that were renewing their subscriptions said the renewals were already showing up on their magazine labels, so they felt it was legit. I just ordered a new subscription to Scrapbooks, Etc, but the website did state that it would take approximately 14 weeks for the subscription to start, which is fine with me. I"m letting my CK magazine subscription run out, so at least I won't be without a magazine. I try to only allow myself one scrapbook and one card-making magazine subscription. Otherwise, I'd go crazy! LOL! At this point, I can't vouch for the site yet, but I figured for around $6 I'd give it a try. If I get bad service, then I won't order from them again. Hope this helps!

The only site I have any personal experience is Best Deal Magazines, I've ordered from them many times. It does take 12-14 weeks to get your first issue. Which means, right about the time you're starting to think it WAS a scam you actually get your magazines! I've gotten some great deals! I hope that helps!

I get that one, although I don't really scrapbook *yet*. I only ordered it as a fundraiser for my daughter's middle school band, but I have seen a few great ideas there.

You didn't share the price, but, subscriptions should be CHEAP! ;)
