I don't know, but would like to know if there is a trick. I am too lazy to swap out the cutting for the scoring blade, and just use my Fiskars for that

switcher
Hi, I am a switcher too. I have my nice cutter for cutting cards and larger mats and I use my cheaper fiskars cutter for scoring and cutting small pieces. Of course I have the scoring blade also, but I have never taken the time to put it on. LOL
I just try to plan out my cutting and scoring. I will cut up the cardstock for everything I am planning to stamp, then swap out the blade to score. I must say i have considered getting another cutter to keep the scoring blade in. I do keep a ruler and bone tool handy if I am just doing one (more) card. LOL
I actually keep my cutting and scoring blade on my cutter. I put the scoring blade on the bottom since I don't use it as often. I don't know if anyone else does it but then I don't have to go search for it when I need it.
