I know I received some in my birthday recently, but do you think I saved them????? NOOOOOOO. Anyway, if any of you have the saying that you put on a piece of paper and insert in the envelope telling the recipient that the card is inside out, I'd appreciate receiving it. Thanks.
When a card has quite a few embellishments on the front, it gets quite bumpy, so turning it inside out helps to keep it from kicking out at the post office and having to pay extra postage. Really works!!
Since no one was coming forth with information, I decided to go back through my birthday cards to see if by chance I would have saved that little piece of paper. I FOUND IT. It's not really a "saying" just an explanation. BUT, here it is if you want to use it:
This card has been mailed inside out
to protect the decorative elements
on the front of the card.

Well, I have learned something new today! I never would have thought to mail a card "inside-out". But it makes perfect sense. Thanks for the hint - and for the neat little poem to explain the situation!
I personally would rather pay for extra postage and use the fun foam idea. You spend the money on the card and embellishments, spend your time coloring it and putting it together, what difference does an extra .17 or so cents make? JMHO.
