HI,
I am contemplating joining either Sam's or Costco...
I am curious as to what has been your experiences as to "who" has the better crafting deals? I know their stock can change quickly but I'm just curious who has had the better deals.
I have memberships to both. I personally prefer Costco as it seems their merchandise is better quality/ more high end. They also carry a "Heidi Swapp" package full of fun scrapping products!
I hate walmart, but my BF runs a group home and uses Sam's for a lot of food. I've gotten great office supplies there, but also need to watch the prices in case I can get it somewhere else cheaper!
I have a membership to Sam's and my best friend has a membership to Costco. That way if Sam's have something that Costco doesn't or vice versa, we can get that for each other!
Now, as for craft items, I think both sell stuff in a hit or miss way. There is never the same type of business supplies or crafting supplies when I go back so I don't count on buying those items there. If, when I get there, they have them, HOORAY!
Costco has more craft items and they also have tons online. I like both but seem to buy more things at Costco. Things I just have to have!!!!! Costco has scrapbook kits, albums, page refills, cardstock, cutters, etc but it all changes too. So I tend to stick to Sams because I usually just buy food and staples their. I have a Sams membership and my Aunt has both so when I want to go to Costco I go with her. I would say Costco is more upper end. They have a lot of their names on name brand products. For example my husbands drinks the Costco brand coffee and the bags says Costco but also says under it Starbucks! Hope that helps.
I like Costco better because they have better "feature items" which they change on a regular basis. It is always new & exciting to find the new items. They have some neat scrappin/stampin items and the prices are always way lower than Michaels/JoAnns.
Another Costco fan! They have great craft bundles, especially around Christams. I think the over all quality of items is better on the whole. They even had the Wii for sale (again!) in a special bundled pack at a great price! DH was so, so happy to finally get one. I have not ordered online with them, but I have seen some good stuff online too.

I need to add one more thing. I have ordered many times from Costco.com and they are about as efficiant as you can get. Great service and you can return at the store. One time I ordered a small TV for my craft room and found one I liked better in store. I returned the one I ordered and they even returned my shipping cost! I didn't ask, just assumed that I would lose the money on shipping but they did that automatically. Gotta love them after that!
