Rubber Stamper is no longer being published as it was known before. There was a thread posted a bit ago about this change. Let me see if I can find it.
Dear Readers & Industry Friends:
I am excited to inform you that The Rubber Stamper magazine has been sold to Amos Craft Publishing. Amos Craft Publishing is a fine publishing company with a tremendous amount of experience in the creative industries. I will have the opportunity to work closely with them in the months ahead and together we will create a plan to take the magazine to a new level.
The November/December 2007 issue will be the last issue of The Rubber Stamper in its current format. However, Amos Craft Publishing plans to incorporate The Rubber Stamper into its flagship magazine Crafts n Things and will continue to provide you with 75+ card and stamping projects in every issue! Amos Craft Publishing will fully honor the number of issues you have left on your Rubber Stamper subscription so you will automatically receive Crafts n Things for the remainder of your current subscription.
Amos Craft Publishing has several other excellent craft magazines including, Painting, Pack-o-Fun and The Cross Stitcher. If you prefer, they?d be happy to transfer your subscription to one of these other Amos Craft publications.
If you have any questions about your subscription, you can contact Amos Craft Publishing toll-free at 1-866-222-3821 or via email at [email protected]. Otherwise, watch for your first issue (January/February 200 of Crafts n Things to arrive in early December.
If you currently purchase copies of The Rubber Stamper in your favorite retail shop, please be assured you can continue to purchase Crafts n Things in the majority of all craft shops, bookstores, as well as grocery and convenience stores.
It has been my pleasure to launch this magazine and watch it grow and mature during these 11 years. I am certain that you will be pleased with the changes that are planned and the exciting new format of your favorite stamping magazine.
I was quite disappointed to get that email last week. I am so happy that my subscription doesn't have long left. Rubber Stamper was the last true stamping magazine on the market. Good thing we have SCS.
I picked up a copy of Crafts N Things yesterday, and if you like to craft in general, and/or like to alter, or *think out of the box* with your stamping, there are lots of ideas in this magazine this issue. No, it isn't packed with rubber stamping and cardmaking, but there are a lot more ideas in there than I expected.
I was one that was very disappointed with the RS news, but I checked out the new and improved CnT, and I am pretty impressed so far!
Hey Gals,
When the news hit the web about TRS being bought by Crafts N Things I was sooo sad because I had written an article that was due out in the Jan/Feb issue and there were multiple designers that had contributed their genius to accompany the article...so I called up Abby Foster, Editor of Crafts N Things....
First off, she is a PEACH...just a sweet gal and wonderful to work with....
Second, she has a Managing Editor, Dawn who is head of the "Papercrafting and Rubber Stamping" section...between the two of them they have a WONDERFUL PLAN of really keeping it fresh and focusing that section on Rubberstamping as well as sprinkling the REST OF THE PUBLICATION with paper crafted and rubberstamped projects! I have the DEC issue and it is AMAZING...and the FEB issue promises to be even better... I hear it is going to be 160+ pages!!!! So please, please, please take some time to let them "get it all sorted out" and don't give up hope...I think we are all going to be THRILLED with this in the end! I know I am super excited because I am a multicraft type of person and I am always looking for new things to STAMP ON!!! LOL

That is the one I have...oh it is lovely isn't it....the photography is so divine and the projects are too fun....but what can you say, I love anything with good photos!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the December issue and I keep thumbing through it. Like Jenn said.....there are things in the issue that if you think outside the box, you can definitely apply them to paper crafting. I am totally looking forward to the next issue and even thinking of subscribing!
I got it as a replacement for my Paper Made Easy subscription. I liked to too because it has SO much stuff in it. It seemed like it had a lot more projects in it than most craft magazines. The Jan/Feb issue goes on sale 12/18. I am very excited to see what it will be like because it will also have more stamping then. I really liked Paper Made Easy and wanted to get The Rubber Stamper more often plus crafts n things had some cute stuff on occasion..but that gets expensive buying so many magazines but now it will all be in one place...One stop shopping for one price!!
Don't you wanna know how to combine your art stamping with crocheted toilet paper covers? ;)
No thank you.

BAHAHA...Hey that might be fun! You could make your own custom stamped toilet paper to go with it and sell it on eBay!! You KNOW there is someone somewhere who would buy something like that  Make good use of the rough stuff and save on the cost of cardstock!

What a roller-coaster thread! First the distress - no more TRS?!? Gasp! Horrors! I *love* that magazine! Then the relief, the new magazine may not be awful, and might even be good. I guess I'll have to wait and see for myself. I was encouraged by the prospect of this magazine being easier to find than TRS if it will be available in grocery stores, but I don't know if they are including Canada in that statement or not. Well, I am going to miss TRS either way. It was an amazing publication and had everything I wanted in a magazine and more. I'm really going to miss it.
I just got a letter saying that the Rubber Stamper had accepted my card but I think that it was written before the change. They returned my card with the letter - strange.
Thank goodness my subscription is up. I will check out a copy of crafts and things but I wasn't impressed by it the last time I looked.
So ends another great magazine.
Yeah, I tell ya, this is as depressing as my two favorite shows no longer running... "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Gilmore Girls." At least with Buffy, I knew it was the last year. Gilmore Girls all of a sudden just ended. :( (Without really giving much for answers.... like, will Luke and Lorelei finally get married? Okay, so she was wearing the necklace at the very end... but STILL.)
The Rubber Stamper has been my favorite magazine ever since I first laid eyes on it.
Pass me another caramel Kiss.
Kimberly

You know, I am not impressed by Rubber Stampers Service nor Crafts and things.. I had renewed my subscription with Rubber Stamper in September, not knowing it was going to shut down. When I heard that they were stopping publication via SCS - I called the 1 - 800 as per the above post. While I have the charge for it on my visa statement, Rubber Stamper said they did not - they had transferred that info to Crafts and Things.. So , then I was directed to Crafts and Things - I want to cancel my subscription - and the Crafts and Things told me they could do nothing for me as they are not in possesion of my subscription info yet - and likely will mail me out a check!!!!! Meanwhile, Rubber Stamper sent me yet another reminder that my subscription is running out!!!
I'm pretty disgusted with the handling of the whole thing. I did get into my Local Bookstore yesterday ( a big one that carries publications from around the world ) and picked up a copy Crafts and Things - but it is not for me - so far -at all.
I wish Rubber Stamper hadn't continued to send out renewel messages whilst they were going out of business... I have no interest in subscribing in this new magazine.
