I bought it too, have not mounted it yet, something I don't like about it, it does not come die cut, you have to carefully cut between each and every letter and leave the same amount of rubber on each side, yadda yadda yadda..ugh! I'll take my snap stamps, thanks..lol

this is one of my faves. I just cut it into squares and mounted it as is. They'll be too small if you try to trim them any more than that. My only other hint is to make sure that the small "s" is facing the right way. One way looks "better". I use it a lot for little sayings that aren't in EFP sets. Just don't try to get the stamped letters to line up perfectly--'cause you'll go INSANE!! It's supposed to look uneven. Good luck!
I speak the truth not so much as I would, but as much as I dare, .......and I dare a little more as I grow older. -Michel de Montaigne, essayist (1533-1592)
I bought this set. I also have Euphoria from last winter. They're both small sets. I just trimmed very neatly into squares by eyeballing it. I was also careful to pay attention to keeping my scissors as vertical as possibly to avoid over and under-cutting.
It sounds horrible when I read what I just wrote. It's a lot easier than it sounds. I mounted the Euphoria set under deep distraction (MONK was on tv) and it came out perfectly.

i bought this set too when it was 50% off a couple of months ago. I also like it a lot. I did what the others here also did - pretty much cut them up and mounted them to the blocks...no trimming needed, really. i find myself using it a lot on both cards and scrap pages to create sentiments that i don't already have. i also will stamp words within my handwritten journaling just to make it interesting too. i like that the font is small - it really isn't like any other alpha set that i have.
Cut into sqaures, and play, play, play! This set is awesome because it goes with just about any of our alphabets, it fits on tags, and you can stamp any sentiment because it is small enough to fit on cards.
You will love it once you mount it, but go slowly and you'll do fine.
For me the hard part wasn't cutting then out, it was figuring out if I was mounting them the right direction. I'm just dyslexic enough that mounting alphabet stamps (especially two on one block) is quite a challenge.
I read somewhere on SCS that you can use a rubberband around a set of letters to make a word and stamp it as a word instead of individual letters. Very time-saving if you are using the same word several times on the same card or on multiple cards.

LOL...
I got this set during the special and just tonight started mounting it. I did the A, B, C and D, then called it a night.
Maybe tomorrow....

And that's why I work on it more tomorrow. I wasn't quite ready for the challenge tonight... :-) LOL

good idea! I haven't mounted them yet... but when I get brave enough I will!

I too have this one - unmounted as well! I bought it when it was in the mini. I also have another one of those tiny alphas that were in a mini and it too is unmounted! I guess I just need to do it. Thanks for the encouragement!!
Moonbeam wrote that she bought this set a few months ago when it was half price. When did that happen and how did I miss it?! I don't live close to my demo and I never get the mini catalogues that come out. Was this an on-line special? I don't want to miss out on a sale! Tell all! ;)
Jutta, I bought this set in December when they were 50% off. I believe they had an on-line special (my demo didn't know about it either) with about 6 sets that were half off.
It was a little tricky mounting it as some letters do look very similar but I just took my time and they seem to be mounted correctly.
I use this set to personlize my cards. Below is the link to the Dora card I made for my cousin's daughters birthday with "Julianna" created with the rough edges alpha and punched out with a half inch punch.
I really like this set! I trimmed around the letters (can't help myself!), but I made sure to slant the scissors towards the letters as I was cutting so that the foam is larger than the rubber surface, giving me the maximum adhesive surface agains the wood block.
Seems to have worked out pretty well, though I am very careful when I clean the letters, making sure I don't scrub too hard.
I love it as well. I use it to make certain words pop out of my journaling when I scrapbook. Here is a sample of that.
I had a hard time lining them up right as well and I think I did mount some upside down. But I look at the rubber everytime before I use them anyway....so it's all good!
