Kayelyn,
I just used this for the first time today! It's wonderful! I've put off even looking at this thread until today because I thought it would be confusing and/or difficult....it's neither!
I'm so excited by the concept and application! I used to try to play around with the custom colors and try to guess which color would come close. It would take considerable time, and I was never completely happy with the results. No guess work from now on....a perfect match every time in seconds!
Thanks for all your work and for sharing it so freely!

Default OMGosh!!!

Y'all are *STILL* so wonderful!!! And every time I see a "hit" on this thread, I do check it to see if there are questions / comments / issues to be addressed. One got PM'd to me the other day:

Q. Will you be updating the six new colors to the list?

A. *YES!* As soon as the *cardstock* is in my hot little hands I will finalize the codes. What that means is: I have already been working on them and have *preliminary* calculations determined...however, I have found that the *MOST* accurate matches come from matching to cardstock, not ink and not print media. So even though I think I'm pretty close right now, I'm not going to post them yet. Now: I hope to be placing an order on 07/01...and that is also the first day that Demonstrators can order the new cardstock and ink colors. Living in IL and knowing what an *overwhelming* shipping day that is going to be, I don't anticipate having my order until 07/10. But we'll see: just maybe, there'll be a new Alphabet set that I can't live without and I'll proceed with an expedited shipping.

Hope that y'all find this info helpful! I'm working on some other colors right now...dontja just wanna know what they are??!!?? (Only time will tell....)

Wow, just came upon this thread. Thank you so much for sharing. I had to make a card for a friend of my husbands and used this for the verse inside card. Turned out a perfect match for Night of Navy. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I know this took a ton of time to come up with all the colors. Shame on those who take credit for others work. I love, love, love this site.

Thank you so much Kaylyn, this is such an awesome post. How did you go about getting these colors matched - trial and error? You must have gone through a lot of ink. We all appreciate your hard work.

Kaylyn;
Thank you so much for this info. Your time and effort will not unforgotten. Thanks to all your helpers too. I sound like a broken record but, this website has a bunch of amazing people and I am just dumstruck with all the creativity and sharing that people do for one another. It keeps a BIG smile on my face everyday.

Bumpin' a great thread. I was able to the info with one of my customers who'd just received the CTMH color matches. It was great to be able to give her ours so quickly. Thanks especially to Kaylyn and Jessica, but also to the other SCSers who shared.

Thanks for this awesome list! I do have one question, does anyone know how to convert the RGB codes to HEX codes? I am working on my newsletter and wanted to change the colors but it only lets me enter a HEX code (6 digit alphanumeric) and not the RGB ones. I'll do some searching on the web when I get home from work but thought I'd ask here first

Thanks again!

Default Troll questions

1- Am I a troll for using this when I didn't contribute? I didn't even know you COULD alter the colors. I never even noticed the "more colors" option at the bottom!

2- Would I be a troll if I offered this at a workshop to people who buy the font CD's? I guess then it's a bonus, though, isn't it? So should I instead offer copies to anyone, and then just mention how well this works with our font CD?

Maybe offering it at a workshop with a purchase isn't a good idea - when they get to the final paragraph, they'll be calling DS for a different demo!

Maybe I could give a hard copy to anyone who purchases the CD, and e-mail a copy to anyone who doesn't but still wants it?

Help! I don't want to be a troll!

Default Can't believe I forgot to say

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I just read the story of the 10 lepers to my son last night, about how Jesus healed them all but only 1 came back to thank him...and here I am, forgetting to thank people! I really do appreciate all the work that went into this, and it is SO GENEROUS for you to share it! Thank you!

I think to remain non-troll like it should simply be shared, with proper credit given to the hard working people who put it together. If it is added as any kind of bonus or on any type of collection then you appear to be profiting from it, and that is not fair.

AWESOME!!!
I have printed this out for my demonstrator and my friends because we ALL use our computers @ sometime to create a saying/quote that there just isn't a stamp for! And I'm the biggest fontaholic there is, and this just gives me even MORE use for my fonts since now I don't have to "guess" @ which color "might" match "closely enough" to pass! Thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, THANKS!!!

This is yet another reason I wish I would have found this site. The generousity of the members is outstanding. The talent is unsurpassed.

And I wish I had found SU when I first began scrapbooking. I love having things match and was never aware that the inks, paper & markers match. Oh well. As things run out or dry up I'll switch over.
