Default RGB code

Does anyone have the RGB code for Tsukineko's Versafine Smoky Grey ink? I'm doing wedding invites for my niece and she wants to match the printing of the text with the stamped Chicago skyline image I'm doing in this ink.

I'm afraid I don't but just in case nobody else can help, here's what I do to get an ink match (assuming you have access to a scanner). Swipe some ink onto white paper (or stamp a silhouette style image), scan the image and open it up in a graphics program. Use the eye dropper tool to select from a good solid area of colour and then you can get the colour value from the swatch you just selected.

HTH!

Thanks for the info for future reference Joanne. I ended up contacting Tsukineko directly and they promptly sent back what I needed! Just in case anyone is interested here's what they sent.

Here is the color information for your niece to match up VersaFine Smokey Gray for her wedding invitation printing-
Pantone #405
Hex #6B5E4F
FYI- they are the same color, just a couple of different color matching system #'s for her to refer to or for her to pass onto her printer.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

another handy dandy free tool is color cop
download | Color Cop

you drag the eyedropper over to the color you want to copy and it instantly gives you the r, g. b #'s but also the hex (6-7 digit #)

That's what I was going to say! So glad Tsukineko was quick and helpful. That's some great customer service.

Here's how the invites turned out. I'm excited at how well the font matched the stamping though it looks darker in this photo. Urban Elegance Invite

Great design Gail, they turned out really stylish-looking! I'm sure the couple loved them.
