Default Reorganizing

I'm reorganizing my teeny, tiny, miniscule (sp?) stamp "room" and I have a question. Do you organize your paper into SU color families or do you keep all the greens together, purples with purples, etc? I'm thinking that if I keep the colors together that it might inspire me to think outside my color box more.

I sort by family because I feel these colors coordinate better... That way, I can match different colors more easily.

Of course, that doesn't always work and I usually go to my trusty "Color Combination" chart and use colors that others here have found to coordinate.

Default I have...

I bought a long plastic file thing with a lid. Then I bought some hanging folders. I placed them into the box in the samoe order as they are in the catalog, by family in the same color order. I LOVE IT! Now, I can find them easily and don't have to wonder which color is which (I used to have an issue with that). It has been very convenient for me and when it is not in use it has a lid on it, so you can place something else on top!

I sort them by family as well. I have my pads and paper sorted by family. It is easier for me to think in terms of family color.

Sorting by family also helps to keep similar-looking colors straight when the dye lot fluctuates.

I also sort my paper and ink pads by color family. It makes it easier for me to stay organized and not confusing my similar colors. I need to keep things simple, so I have more time to stamp!!

I used to sort by color, it turned into a big mess,
Now I sort by Families too, & it helps you realize more quickly when you are almost out of one color too. THe families work better for me!

Liked the limk to palettes, my upline is taking the palettes from the inspirations sheets & mounting them (little punche out squares) on index card -4 colors to one card, her customers are loving them!

Default organizing

I just bought the plastic file box and organized my paper. I have been stamping for more than three years and finally did it! But my problem now is that the paper was so mixed up that I had a hard time indentifing which color is which. I ended up putting some in folders they probably don't go in, I'll just have to fix it as I order new paper. So organizing from the beginning is a huge help!
