Well, I just bought some. (I know, they were 'in' ages ago, but I still like the look!) Does anyone know a good way to adhere them to a card? They're so tiny, and I'm not sure what kind of adhesive works best between paper and plastic.
I just use Aleen's glue in the bronzish plastic bottle and a pair of tweezers. Seems to work fine for me.
The only problem I have had with mailing cards with dew drops on them....is that they can get crushed by the USPS. So now, I put a piece of bubble wrap over them in the envelope.
Aleene's Tacky glue or Glossy Accents for me. I reckon the latter is the same as Diamond Glaze. They still may occasionally come off. I've had a couple arrive crushed, as Sallie mentioned, and some arrive loose in the envelope but uncrushed. At least you can always see where to stick them back .
Enjoy them - I still like to use them.
I mostly use the Tombow Mono Adhesive (in the white and green bottle)... I put the glue on the paper and then use tweezers to place my Dew Drop. I've also used Glue Dots

Another Mono Multi user here. It dries clear and holds very well.

I go with the glue dots too...using the wet glues that are being talked about sometimes make a little mess or have glue spill out under the dot when you put too much of it on (which always seems to happen with me, lol!)
I use a clear drying glue (I have several and use them all ... they include Crystal Effects, Diamond Glaze and Glossy Accents). I pour a tiny amount onto a scrap of wax paper and apply it to the dew drop with a toothpick. I use tweezers to help with placement.
I also wanted to share that I have used alcohol inks to change the colors (I've used aqua and juniper on pinkish dew drops). Just be sure to apply the ink to the back first (there seems to always be some run-off to the other side) and let it dry then do the front side so any drips are covered, kwim? Or use a little zip-close bag and place the dew drops in them and apply several drop of ink and ... shake shake shake!

I have also colored the back with a Sharpie. I colored the back of a clear one red to make a cherry to top a cupcake.
I like Aleene's CLEAR tacky glue! It's cheaper than the diamond glaze and dries a lot faster. You can't see it at all when it dries! No cloudy look like some of the other options.
Dew Drops are still "in" !
and now they have Tear Drops!
oh yeah...mini glue dots here too
OMgosh I am glad! When I read this I felt a little panic! I just did funeral folders/mini-scrapbook of my mother with them adhered on almost every page! Not that anyone would have cared and they did love the tribute I made for the guests.
Dew drops are definitely still "in" as far as I'm concerned and I love mini glue dots with sticker tweezers to put them on cards, etc. Will have to check out those tear drops now.
I have started using mini glue dots. I used to use clear adhesives like the mono adhesive & crystal lacquer, but they pop off of the card with movement & temperature changes. I didn't think they were popping off until some of my stamping friends told me they were arriving in the envelope, not on the cards. I think they're still in, just not the newest, latest. greatest product. I still use eyelets- so maybe I don't know.
I also color my own dew drops. They have a large baggie of them in clear at Michael's in the same section with the big dew drops & marbles for floral arrangements. It' s$5.95 for a huge supply. They're clear and are more evenly shaped. I use any alcohol inks to color them. I've used Copics& Sharpies on the bottom. If I want all around color, I put them in a baggie with a few drops of Alcohol Inks or Copic Reinker. Smoosh it around & they dry fast. If you want them pearly, add in some Perfect Pearls. JIL

I wonder if the part in bold might be because of the mail process? I have some applied with an older bottle of Diamond Glaze (it was at least 2 years old when I used it) and they aren't budging after several months. Does anyone else have any dew drops applied with liquid adhesive that has withstood the test of time?
BTW, I love the idea of coloring them with Perfect Pearls!
I use mono multi or mini glue dots depending on whatever is immediately at hand. I'll be using them until they go out of style and come back in again because I have so many!

LOL Ditto!

I use Zip Dry. I like that it dries super fast so I don't have to worry about the dew drop moving like I do with other liquid glues. Plus, it doesn't make the colors run if I paint them with color on the back.

According to a review I read, Zip Dry and 3in 1 glue both by Beacons are pretty much the same formula. I used the latter two or three weeks ago and 80% fell off. So be careful.

I use glue dots also. When I'm mailing a card to some with dew drops on, I put extra scrap piece a paper over the area, they get to people with no problem at all.
I also learned you can buying clear ones and use Tim Holtz Ranger inks with them in a ziploc bag to make your own colors. I use one place spoonful of dew drops and than add three drops of ink, shake and see what colors, comes out. I add more color if needed or spread them on a paper plate to dry, if you are making alot of the same color.
Whew, I'm glad others think these are still in style--I think I have them in every color known to man! I've tried a few of the liquid adhesives but I am too impatient to give them time to dry. I love mini-dots and use my Tweezer Bee (love that thing!) to place them on my project.
I saw a tip here on SCS a long time ago that suggested turning the card inside out for mailing. I've always done that--no breakage. I guess it's less likely to snag on USPS's sorting machines? I'd rather my friends get the card inside out (which they wouldn't think unusual since the card is from me) than damaged.
Happy Dew Dropping!

Zip Dry is a paper glue, so I wouldn't use it for embellishments that aren't paper. I've never used the 3-in-1 glue, though, so I don't know much about it. For adhering dew drops, I've had success with Glue Dots, tacky glue, Diamond Glaze/Crystal Effects, and Fabri Tac (also made by Beacon).
I use zigs 2 way glue, the kind in the blue plastic pen looking container. I like it cause it writes like a pen too. and they seem to stick pretty well, the only thing I dont like is sometimes things get a lil sticky. I then, have to clean up with that lil rubber square. (dont know the exact name)
I haven't tried them yet. Are they available at Michaels, Joanns or Hobby Lobby? I don't want to pay for shipping in case I don't like them. Or is there a good place to purchase them with cheap/free shipping??
