recipe boxes

Okay...this may sound like a really dumb question...but you ladies will forgive me right?!?! LOL
Does anyone make a 6X6 recipe box? Like ones you could alter?
If not...what are you recipe swappers putting your recipes in?...a 6x6 album?
Inquiring minded me was wonderin!

When I was in a 6x6 recipe swap I got an album that size from Michael's & it worked great. By the time the swap finished I had 4 beautiful albums full of recipes.

So glad you asked this question Denise, I'd like to join more 6x6 swaps but have no recipe box. There is a new Container Store opening up at my local mall, so I'll have to check it out. I did buy a 6x6 album for one recipe swap - but a box could hold so much more!!!

I did go to The Container Store this weekend - OMG I could spend a fortune. I did find something that will work for me for 6x6 recipes. It is a 'Narrow Silk Drawer Organizer" in Nutmeg and Blue. The dimensions are 7w x 4h x 14l. I couldn't find anything of a suitable size with a lid, but this will sit on the bookcase in my kitchen just fine. So now I'm off to scour the recipe swaps forum and see which 6 x 6 swaps I can join.

I have been using different photo albums, but prefer the 8 x 8 size.
Being retired age, I don't care for small print and this allows for larger
typing. I use a number of albums, entrees, salads, breads, brunches,
holiday meals, red, white and bbq, etc Love that the recipe pages are decorated
and covered with page protectors

I put mine in 6x6 albums, but I would love to find a box to hold them in. I love that the album has a plastic protector so the pages don't get messy when I cook, but the space it takes up is cumbersome when you are in a small kitchen like I have.

I would love to see a picture of what you found at the Container store!
