Default Is is really worth it??

Hello Ladies,

I am thinking of getting the Splitcoast membership....so...is it really worth it?? Tell me why I should or shouldn't do it...lol. Tell me all the benefits and how it has changed your life for the better....thanks!

Thanks in advance.
I think it's a great idea especially since I don't subscribe to any magazines but hubby had a different opinion. (not that his answer matters...lol)

The DD gallery is quite excellent, however, I really don't do more than glance at it- and then I usually add all the DD ladies who have blogs to my must read list- but I use galleries to find projects to case, and they are all a bit above me.

The only "benefit" I guess is instant uploads- I'm all for not waiting.

But is it worth it ABSOLUTELY. I spend a lot of time on SCS, and I can think of nothing better to give a few dollars to to help support it and keep it running.

I subscribed about four or five months ago, because I have reaped so much benefit here. It is wonderful to get that extra gallery, but the main thing is that I have such an opportunity (viewing such wonderful work, posting for help, buying and selling, etc.) that I wanted to support SCS. It must be quite costly to run! Also, I met one of my very best friends on this site!!

It is so worth it. You NEED it. These ladies are amazing. Also, you get exclusive access to cool patterns and such. Also your uploads are instantly approved. Plus it's a great way to support this awesome community.

I just joined a few days ago, and was blown away by the awesome talent in the DD gallery.. which goes back for months and months, so you can catch up on what you missed. Also, I love the instant uploads!! It's great to not have to wait, and who likes to wait!!??

That's kind of like asking if breathing is really worth it! LOL

I spend so much time here, have made friendships, am endlessly inspired, have gotten incredible business tips, life advice, support, giggles - you name it!! The DD Gallery and no approvals for uploads are just the icing on the cake, imo. For a website that has given so much to me, I think a paid membership is the absolute least I can do. You won't regret it!!

Apart from DD membership and instant uploads, which are an obvious benefit of being a Fan Club member, ask yourself if supporting this site and all that it provides, samples, advice, and online friendships, is worth something to you personally.

You gals are just the best! You have pointed out some painfully obvious benefits to me. I adore this site and everyone here is always so kind and caring. Doing things for one another requesting nothing in return.

I am signing up right this minute!!!

another quick question...how long does it take before I can cruise the DD gallery and I have instant uploads??

Thanks again for all of your insight and answers

What do you mean by instant upload? I had a membership for awhile and I don't recall any difference in the way you upload.

This is a new.......maybe in the last month or so. Fan Club members don't have to wait for approval.

A cool thing I found out the other day is that you can sign up for 6 months for only $15! I don't know why, but for me its easier to budget 15 dollars twice, than the whole 25 at once. I don't mind the extra five dollars it costs that way, cause I enjoy this site so much anyway! I'm really glad they have that option!

I find that I spend a lot less on magazines since I signed on here. There are so many more inspirations with the DD that I enjoy looking on here much more than reading it out of a mag! I won't ever be without my membership. If you ever find me without it then it must mean that I bit the big one!! LOL!!!!

I really enjoy browsing the DD gallery and it helps to inspire me, although these designers are way out of my league and I won't even attempt to CASE their stuff (I could never do it justice!). Also, I love the instant uploads, that is when I actually upload something. Other that that I feel that I spend SOOOOO much time on this site and have utilized the gallery for inspiration time and time again that it is easily worth the $25 a year to help keep this site up and running. My membership helps to defray the operating costs for this wonderful site so that I can enjoy all that it has to offer. I can easily spend $25 on one dinner out with DH, but my SCS donation keeps me sane all year - this is all the therapy I need!

I joined before we even knew that there were going to be other benefits besides keeping this wonderful site up and running! I felt I had to support it because I got so much out of it.
As all the others have said before me, the DDD gallery is beautiful... the ideas really are wonderful, but I love, love, love the instant uploads! I had been asking for that privilege for some time for Fan Club members, and was thrilled when it was granted.

For me it is about the DD Gallery & the instant uploads. But then again, there is that part of me that knows a little too much about web design and knows how much bandwidth that I alone use here, so I know that to keep a site like this running it takes a little bit of $$$ from it's users.

And since I come here at least 10 times a day and use the gallery for a TON of inspiration, I feel like my small $24.95 contribution is SOOOOO worth it!

I like looking at all the DD cards and ideas in their Fan Club, but the ultimate reason to join, is to support the general use of SCS!

Honestly, I rarely look at the DD gallery. I joined, b/c I felt I should help contribute to the site, since I spend so much time here.

It is definitely worth it, b/c you also get all the back months of the DD gallery when you join...great benefit, imo!

Am I spoiled. I posted a card to my gallery this am, and I have to wait to get it approved. My DD membership must have ran out!
I immediately have rejoined! It is worth it, to see the work of such great artists, and to support all the work that goes on. We just had this upgrade, etc...they are doing just the best for all of us.

I think its totally worth it as well. I don't have a gallery (yet) so that instant downloading thing isn't it for me. I have found the most amazing patterns on the fan club sites that it makes it well worth it. And I'm not talking cards, I'm talking projects. I forget about the forum section of the fan club (not just the gallery access) and there is just so much stuff to use in the site. I have bought many magazines and used a pattern here and there but I've gotten way more money out of the fan club here than in any mag that I have purchased. My membership will run out in the spring and I plan on renewing it. I'm not missing out on anything new again!! Mary

I think its definitely worth it. Even if there wasn't a gallery from the dirty girls. Think of how much it must cost to run this site.
If you are on here often, and get inspired, quaestions answered, advice-then why not support the site (if you can afford to of course)
