does it work the same way for craft ink? It didn't seem to soak in very quickly and I was afraid to close the pad up because the craft ink was just lying on the top of the pad.
For craft ink I ink it up diagonally then horizontally, squeezing as I go. Then I take the back of a spoon and "smoosh" (official stamping term *wink*) the ink into the pad. (HINT: I use a plastic spoon so I can throw it away.) VOILA
This "special technique" also works if your pad needs some moisture not more ink. Just add a few drops of pure glycerine (avail. at a drug store or the cake decorating section of Mike's) and 'smoosh' with a plastic spoon.
