It's the best catalog ever, since I have been acquainted with the company anyway! All I can say, is everything is fresh, colors, samples, designs! Finally, larger images to work with, very hot and trendy now. Great flourish, neat gears and wheels for male gender. I think once the samples begin appearing, we will love so much more! My fears that everything was going to be too cutesy have been laid to rest. Now, they just have to come up with great guy stuff in the minis. Touche!
This is my 7th catty.
I think it is very cool. I agree with some of the opinions of what's missing and also that it can't be everything!
Some things I wish were more/better:
scrapbook selection (I think this is vital if they want to ever really appeal to that market)
scrapbook papers still disappoint me
Love the:
chipboard
samples
background selections
new hostess sets/selections
I would rate it one of the best for me!

I love it! Each time I look through the catalog I get better ideas and start to like even more than before. I don't scrapbook so I like that it is more card oriented, but I agree with being disappointed that there aren't more patriotic/americana themed sets. Oh well. It must be hard to try to please everyone, huh? Has anyone started a thread about what we want to see in next year's catty? ;)
For the second year in a row, I am disappointed in the catalog. I've gone thru it three times and if I buy everything I want, it only totals to $120. Last year I felt the same way. SU is really geared towards crafters with kids with a focus on cards and scrap. I guess my needs are geared more towards "artsy" stuff - so my money will be going to those type of companies.
I gave it a solid B. I thought this catalog was way weighted towards the vintage/altered/distressed look, which is totally trendy now but will appeal for how long? And they all look so similar to me. I also think that so much of the new is more "pieces" rather than focal pictoral images, which could be good or bad. I will look forward to seeing some samples to see how the new sets will be used. I do like the new Sympathy set and other sentiment sets, which will make up the bulk of my initial orders (at stamp club). ANd the small BG-like sets for kissing are a great idea.

I totally agree. In the past, I would buy several hundred dollars worth of SU when the new catalog came out, but last years catalog only had 7 sets that appealed to me. This year I only see 2 sets that are "gotta have" and 3 or 4 maybes.
I also agree about the masculine sets. I will be ordering those types of stamps from Stampscapes and Coronado Island stamps.
I only saw it online and was disappointed. I agree with kittypaws that there are too many sets that are "cartoonish". The company seemed to grow away from that the past couple years and now they have reverted back. There just aren't as many of the sophisticated type of sets and not many for men. I will be saving lots of money. Hope the minis are better!!
