My dear 82-year-old Grama has been through the wringer lately and some cards from you stampers would cheer her up. It started with pneumonia, which she was treated for, but didn't get better. She ended up in the ICU with a full lung and scepticimia. That got better, then they discovered a mass in her abdomen. She was scheduled for exploratory surgery in 2 weeks, but today had to do emergency surgery because her colon was in danger of rupturing because the mass is pressing inards out of place and stopping the flow of things. They did what they could as a temporary measure to give her time for her lungs to continue healing from the pneumonia. When she's a bit stronger they'll do full surgery to remove the mass.
Grama has kept a good attitude through all this, but it's hard on her. It would mean a lot to me if some of you could send cards. She's been in either the hospital or a nursing home for almost a month.
