I want to send out a few RAK cards so I went to the RAK forom. There is so much more to the forom now that I am alittle confused as to where I can find the lists with addresses. I found the BRAK list but only for January. I can not find a list for members. Can anyone help me?
Hey!! At least you can get to the Forum!! I've applied twice now and for whatever reason I apparently have not been accepted. When I try to access it keeps telling me I don't have permission. :(
I'm late to add a comment here... but I'lll ditto that. I submitted a request to join several days ago with no reply. I'm not sure if I need to PM the mod (sure they don't want/need that) or just be patient (not so good with that).
Any suggestions out there on how to expedite joining the RAK group? And the DSS group for that matter?
It does take a little while before you hear back from this group.
it took almost 2 weeks before I heard back from them.
Yes i'd like to second that...this is a HUGE!!! but great group of girls and I think we're up to like 2000 members just within the group or something like that...anyway, they usually only get to add new members about once a month because there are so many so all I can say is be patient, I know it's hard and before I joined I kept wondering, are the ignoring me? is this something exclusive??? but it really is just such a big undertaking for the mods that its takes some time It's TOTALLY worth it though

Patience good luck ;)
I did put a message in the RAK group that there are other members of SCS looking to join our little RAK group.
SO glad this thread was started. I, too, have asked to join (more than two weeks ago) and have heard nothing. Thanks for the advice to *hold tight.* I guess that is what I will do.
ITMT, could you explain what RAK is all about? I understand what RAK stands for. I would just like to know what the group is all about. Is is just like any other forum?
TFS

It took a while when I joined too. I did end up sending a PM to the moderator and she responded a few days later and said to sit tight. Just keep checking the forum section, once you're a member you will be able to see the forum listed toward the bottom on the forum page.
I joined because I like to send out cards to make someone else smile. There are requests for special RAK's to be sent out for different reasons, illness, new baby, etc. There is a weekly RAK challenge on Sundays where the mod gives you the challenge like RAK someone whose first name starts with the intial of your last name. There are welcome and birthday committees that send out welcome and birthday cards to the members. I joined the birthday one and get a monthly list of about 5 ladies to send a birthday card too. They have it setup so everyone in the group gets 3 birthday cards for their birthdays. There is also a wish RAK where you can list wishes for stamped images, cardstock, primas, embellishements, etc. that you don't have and would like to get. Members will grant wishes by looking through the master wish list and sending someone things on their list. You get 3 wishes to start with and then for every wish you grant you are given a bonus wish. I just granted 18 wishes this weekend. Lots of fun to put a smile on someone elses face. I have received lots of wishes too, like cuttlebug embossed 1/4 sheets since I didn't own one (just got one today though). All of these things are optional. It's a great bunch of ladies. Just be patient.
Mama Kim......GREAT job on the description of RAK!! Thanks for helping out!!
Ladies.....Be Patient.....the mod for the RAK forum updates her lists bi-monthly. So, depending on when she does that.....it could be a couple of weeks before she gets to it. (especially if you put your request in the day after she updated, know what I mean?)
Just keep checking the forum main thread.....the RAK group forum shows up at the bottom!!
If any of you are bloggers there is a Bloggers RAK Club that is in the beginner stages and a smaller group...but growing and very active. Here is the thread with the info and rules if anyone wants to join the bloggers RAK club.
