Just thinking of the sacrifice that these men and women are making so we can have better lives overwhelms me. Thanks Michelle for bringing this to my attention. A card is going in the mail in the morning. I hope it gets there in time!

I just checked Matt's blog and there is an update telling of the boxes of cards that he received in time for the 4th of July.

While Matt is still not able to personally thank you, he wishes to express his gratitude for the donations made to his medical fund. Because of your generosity, his future is looking brighter.


Tessa was in the process of reading aloud the cards which Matt received for the 4th of July and had only gotten through about half of them by last night! He was given boxes full--we have not taken the time to count all of them! Thank you for each card sent. It was quite a dramatic and fun gesture of support. Your cards and messages continue to brightened Matt's days."

The world is such a small and GREAT place. I sent Matt a card that was requested through an Etsy group I belong to. I thought about posting for RAKs here but as I didn't personally know him, what shy.

I am SOO glad that Michelle started this RAK. And I hope Matt literally had too many cards to open on the 4th!!
