I have tons of su stamps that i must sell, i know that we cant sell current stamps here, but how would I know whats current and whats not. I am not a demo or have access to a catalog. I just need to get rid of all these stamps and more :( I guess if i list them will someone tell me if they are current or not?
If you're not a demo, it really doesn't matter except on this site. Try selling them on ebay and check out the etsy rules too. You may be able to sell them there. I sell a lot of stamps I no longer use at a local scrapbooking garage sale for a store credit. It's a great incentive to purge what you're no longer using.
Selling takes time and patience. If you choose to sell them on eBay, you have to create a listing, take and post pictures, and wait for the duration of the auction. Then you have to send invoices, box and address and make a trip to the post office. Same thing with any auction site, really.
You will rarely, if ever, make anything close to what you originally bought them for. Most folks want new, never been used, unmounted stamp sets, for which they are still not willing to pay full retail price to purchase. Used stamps, especially if they are stained or the wooden blocks have ink on them, go for even less.
If you really need the money, you need to invest the time. If you don't want to mess with it, you are better off donating them to a local school or family shelter where they can be lovingly appreciated.

It does take time to sell them on e-bay or here at SCS. Part of selling them here is making sure they are not current sets. It's just part of the deal. It takes work to make money selling sets.
I've seen people put them in garage sales. I've seen them go fast! (for about $5.00-$7.00) That's in my area. Some people post that they do not have luck selling sets at garage sales. If you are having a g. sale or a friend is, this is an easy way to sell stamp sets.

Craigslist is another option. I have found some great things there and since the sellers are local there are no shipping cost and no hassle for the seller to package and ship the stamps
If there is something I want to buy I meet the seller at the Burger King to buy it. I would not go to a strangers home nor invite them to mine, but a public place is safe.
You get to see the product so there are no disappointments .
As far as pricing thing, just set a price that would satisfy you and you feel people will pay.
Ask yourself if you would rather sell a lot of them and get less money for each or just sell a few sets and get more money for each. Not everyone interested in a stamp set is "able or willing" to pay $10-$20 for it even if it is a SU set.
The best ads on Craigslist have pictures.
First make a long list of the names of the sets and the prices. Then put 6 sets at a time on your table and put a scrap of paper in front of each with a number from 1-6 . Take a picture of them. The next batch would be numbered 7-12 and so forth.
This way if a potential buyer has a questions they can refer to the number of the set.
Good Luck

At garage sales here SU sets sell for $5-$8 . Other individual stamps usually sell for $1-$2
However lately they don't sell very well here either.
A friend of my daughters was a SU demo and quit 4 years ago. She said when she sold her SU sets they were ALL gone in just two garage sales.
This year she had two garage sales and some friends put stamps in her sale and none of them sold.
People here seem to be going to garage sales for clothes, household items and toys.
It's very hard for me to sell on Craig's list and hubby doesn't really like me meeting to sell my stamps. Ebay is probably the best way to go, but it is time consuming (and things don't sell like they used to not to mention the high fees).
If you like...send me a list of what you have and I will go through it to see what is current and retired. I'm not a demo, but I'm pretty good with SU stamps. You can send me a pm if you want. Then when you know which ones are retired you can sell them here.
Stampin Up Exchange is for Stampin Up products only. I don't believe there is a restrictions on selling current sets/supplies.
You just post a message to the group & interested buyers reply directly to you. Sellers who aren't sure what to price sets at just say make a reasonable offer, or some will post prices & say they are negotiable. I'm not aware of any restrictions on the number of sale posts you can make.
As a member of a group, you will also receive messages when others have items to sell. You can set the messages to be received as individual messages, in a digest (accumulation of all messages for one day) or special notices (only receive messages posted by the moderator).
I have only bought, not sold, stamps through all these groups and have had very positive experiences.
