Default question for secret sister swap that is going on.

After reading the post about the sister swap.I was wondering if most people are just sending 3 cards a month and then a gift at the end.Or if people are doing a little more than that.By sending 3 cards a month and a little something extra each month then the last month send a little more than the other 2 months.

I want to make sure I am sending enough. To make this a special swap for this person so she will want to do more swaps like this.and it will be fun for her.

Also is there a topic on this where we can go to post when we have sent our items out.and maybe give some little hints about it like I know someone whos getting a package. That kind of thing. What is it under.

I've created a seperate email account (hotmail) so I can communicate with my secret sister.... this way I let her know when things are being sent & just get some information about her....

There is a *sticky* when you look in the forums category right now that we can go to.

I've heard of others setting up special email accounts too. So I set one up so that I could ask my sis specific questions that weren't answered in her pm to set her up with secret sisters. That way we can communicate back and forth, we can get to know eachother a bit better, and I know if what I sent got to her.

so far I've sent one card and am planning my gift at the end.

Default swap

I also set up another hotmail account. I then emailed the person I am going to send to and asked a few questions. I think that makes it even more special because it does show we really want to know what they like and not "just" send any old card! I know when I got an email from my secretsister, it not only made her day brighter, but it made mine, too.

I sent out 1 package already with a card and a little something extra. I can't wait to send out more. I think that sending something is almost as much fun as getting!

I totally agree that it's just as fun playing both sides! I'm checking my fake email constantly to see if my secret sister has replied to my emails. I've given her clues to my identity, asked her questions, sent her an ecard and sent her a real card. I'm having a great time. And my secret sister has sent me several emails too, one telling me I have a card in the mail! I feel like a little kid checking my mail every day. It's a treat!

Default secret sister

I am wondering too...was it send a card once a month for three months and then something at the end? Or was it three cards throughout the month for three months? No matter, but just want to make sure I got it straight!

I think it was at least 1 card a month + a $10 package at the end of the 3 months.

Here's a link to the Sticky under the General Discussion Page.

The items listed in the first post were the MINIMUM requirements. Anything you send over the minimum is up to you. I have sent out a little item already, and in a few days I'll have anothergoing out. I'm keeping it at sending something every few days- just a little something to make her smile , be it a card, or treat or whatever.

So, in other words, I am going over the minimum. But it's so much fun coming up with items to make and send, that it's pretty hard to stick with doing just the minimum!

But of course, not everyone can afford, or has the time to go hog wild, and it really isn't expected. So, if you can only do the minimum, don't feel bad about it! Remember, this is supposed to be FUN!!!
