As a SU (or other) demonstrator who recruits new demonstrators, do you feel is it necessary for the recruiter to keep a copy of the new demonstrator's agreement form?
This form has the new demo's SSN, and this is considered highly sensitive nonpublic personal information.

Well it would be considered business documents - especially if your upline has a fairly large downline - she may need to account for each person when tax time comes around to verify her business should she get audited...also it has other pertinant info that an upline may need (address, phone number, etc..)
If you are concerned about your Social Security number on the New Demo form you could make a photocopy and cover up the SSN part before photocopying...and provide the photocopy to your upline.
Personally in this day and age a persons SSN is so overused as an identifier that having it on a piece of business paperwork isn't a big deal to me...

SU does not provide for a copy for the recruiter. There are two copies of the agreement-- one for the recruit and one for SU. There are three copies of the starter kit order form-- two for the recruit, one for SU. Neither form has a copy for the recruiter.
As the recruiter, I have records of those in my downline on the SU site-- name, contact info, demo id. I don't need, nor do I keep, a copy of my recruits' forms.

I also do not keep the forms -- just send them in to Stampin' Up! They list all of the information I need in my downline report.
I do appreciate when my recruit lets me know what she is ordering in her kit (if she's mailing in the forms herself). That way I can send her ideas using the sets she's getting and if she needs help designing projects I know what supplies she has on hand. But that is optional and can be done in an e-mail -- I don't need a copy of the form.
I am an Angel with The Angel Company
I have 5 downline or "success line"
I give them the paper work where I have filled in my part. They fill ou the rest and send to corp. I never see it.
We have what is called "angelnet"
this keeps up with my orders and sales of my downline.
I am always able to access that info for business, & tax purposes
Very convenient and use friendly....AND CHEAP

When someone wants information on the Angel Company and wants to join I fill out my information that is needed. And send them the paper work for them to fill out and send in to the Home Office. So I too never see their personal Information.
The only things I can see is what Karen is talking about on the Angelnet.
I put a stamped/addressed envelope in the recruit packages, and I have the recruit seal-in her forms, then I deliver it to the post office.
I don't keep a copy because of the sensitive info, but I do ask my recruits to complete the top portion of the 'Demonstrator Info and Communication Tracker' form (which I also put in the recruit pkg).
That way, I have their birthday (I don't ask for the year) & some other personal information for my file.
