I am planning on placing an order for either the VersaMagic Dew Drops Ink or the Palette Spot Inks. I am wondering which style is easier to store. I've heard that the Palette Spot pads are made to stack ... how about the VersaMagic Dew Drops? My plan is to buy one or the other of these inks to use with acrylic stamps? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
The VersaMagic Dew Drops stack; they're teardrop shape which makes them hard to keep in a box. The Palettes don't stack; but they're square so they fit great in a clamshell box.

Thanks, Yankeewifey, for the information. Now, I'm leaning toward buying the Palette Spots since I'll probably want to store the new pads in a box.
I LOVE Palette ink! I have almost every color. What I love about these is that every color is waterproof, so you have more flexibility when stamping. Plus my other love is Stickles Glitter Glue and regular ink pads always run when I use my stickles, but doesn't when I use Palette inks. LOVE them!

You might want to note that the manufacturer doesn't label the Palette spots by name. The lid has the color (not name) on it, and the base has nothing. They will come in packaging with the names, and they will be in the order they are listed. If you are very careful to label them right away before you get them mixed up, then you won't have any trouble. ;-) Be sure to label the lid and base.
HTH! :-)

Be mindful that the two inks are very different. The Versamagic inks are a chalk ink and the Palette inks are a hybrid (combining the features of a dye and pigment ink.) So while storage is always a concern, you might think about what you want to be able to do with the inks as well.
I have them all, the Palette, VersaMagic and the Brilliance. I have not had a problem storing them in the small stacking drawers on my desktop! I do the Dew Drops in the drawers just as easily!

A very BIG THANKYOU to all of you who have answered my questions! Your insights are a very great help ... and I would love to hear from others about their experiences with these inks. I am making this purchase because I find that heavier inks help with coverage of some acrylic and unmounted stamps.

You're right! The DewDrops do fit in a box. I store them in a clamshell box like my Palettes but since they're an oblong shape they don't fit in snugly like my Palettes. (Which drives my OCD self crazy!)
I love the Palette inks, the other thing you might want to do is to take a little square of cardstock and stamp each color onto it, so that if your store your stamp pads upside down to keep the ink near the surface you can see on the bottom what colors they are.

I would go with the dew drops- just cause I like the versamagic ink better than Palette (but I like oranges more than apples- and plums (brilliance ink) is my favorite of those TAC sells).
The only problem with dew drops is sometimes they are hard to open and I smoosh my finger into the ink pad- big mess! I like how they stand on their own though, so they don't get lost in the shuffle of my desk. I don't store them in clamshell boxes, so they store just fine in the big box i keep them in.
I love Palette Noir and the brown (can't think of the name) but I NEVER grab any of the 8 palette spots I have. I always use SU ink instead.

That's a great idea! I labeled both the top and bottom parts so that they go back together correctly. Plus, I made my own ink chart so now when I have paper I can just lay it up against those big swatches and get a match really quickly.
I guess I am in the minority here because I keep my palette spots and the dew drops in their original plastic cases...I like having the four coordinating colors together and it just makes it easier for me. I have one of those old "over the toilet" shelves and I stack them there on top of each other...

How I keep my Palette ink spots. I save the largest Clam shell box that my TAC stamps come in..And then add put all my Palette ink spots in that box. I can carry them better to Crop nights. as they will fit inside my rolling cart.
