Default A question about embossing

Hello,

I have a question about embossing. I like to use my versamark pad to emboss. I only have 2 embossing powders: clear and sparkle. Whem I apply the sparkle powder to the stamp image I usually use my hot embossing machine and melt all the powder. My question is: if I don't melt the sparkle embossing powder, will it stay in the image for a long time or it will fall from the stamp image and will not stay there for a long time? Forgive me if I am not very clear in my question but my english is not really good.

Thank you all

Elisa

I think that your embossing powder will fall off the image unless you heat it. HTH.

If you want that effect, try dabbing some glue from a glue pen on your image and then sprinkle on some glitter. That should give you the look you're after. Or you can buy Stickles which is like glitter and glue all together (don't know if it's available in Europe!). Stickles is a bit bolder looking than just sprinkling the glitter on though. Hope this helps!

I get that effect when I emboss with clear then add glitter then clear emboss again. Makes for a shiny sparkly lovely image

Thanks,

what if you got the heat and stick powder? you use it like embossing powder...but then whatever you emboss is sticky like glue....I use it for my glitter to get a sharp edged image...

Can you explain that a little more? If I add glitter with glue (is that right?), then what do I use to get the embossing powder to stick again for the last embossing?

Hi you can barely see it in the pic but here is where I did that:

Sorry for confusion here is what I do. I don't add glitter with glue - I use a clear embossing powder that has glitter in it. Steps: Versamark it, then clear emboss. Cool, ink again with VM then clear emboss. Lightly sprinkle holographic embossing powder and heat one last time.
