Great thread. Here are a few initial ideas:

Definitely more family stamps (mom, dad, mother, father, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather, cousin, etc.)
Happy Mother's/Father's Day stamps
more masculine sets
some kind of organizer for ribbon storage

What about a large flower punch to match the large flower in looks like spring? So many people are cutting them out and I just don't want to, though I love the look. also, printed grosgrain ribbon and a ribbon stamp set similar to Hero Arts.

haven't had the chance to read every post, but in looking at some, I can see where SU! is trying to address some of these needs/wants in the mini catalogs. Lots more background paper and things like that. Maybe they are listening

Wow, this thread is so long that I didn't read it all. Hope I'm not repeating, but here is my TOP request:

- A stamp set of international but recognizable words: merci, salut, bien, bebe, hola, gracias, bella, etc - in fairly small print

There are only 2 things I'd like to see. Sets for teen boys and girls that are not totally sports related for the guys, and a non-frilly set for the gals. Not every teen is all about glamor or sports. I'd also like to see some more jumbo wheels that have allover patterns that don't have to be set a certain way to make sense.

A beautiful "Congratulations" in the cursive script sets.

A nice tea cup/tea pot set

More tag sets to go with our paper punch set!

Thanks for asking!

What a bunch of great ideas and additions! I agree with so many of them:

- Poker/Casino set (Texas Hold 'Em is so hot right now, and dice could be added to set to include Bunko fans also)

- Tall Tales Alphabet Set (Has anyone actually tried to buy this on ebay? The average winning bid is $70)

- More masculine selections (and I'm not talking about tractors, lighthouses or cars)

- More diversity in the images (it looks very caucasian)

- I love the thank you background stamp idea...you can never say thank you enough!

How about a set of verses or greetings that are vertical instead of horizontal and an EFP set in a different type face style.

Love this idea...I agree with so many mentioned already.
* scrapbook with Christmas cover
*smaller qntys. of ribbon and more patterns
*spiral bound catalogue
*neutrals cardstock pack
*more patterned paper
*more masculine/boy sets
*a good sympathy set with words we would really want to say
*I love the TAC set with words for my own children -- "I'm so glad God made me your mom" etc.
*extension to the ink pad caddy --where do the extra colors go anyway?

I think SU should AT LEAST sell induvidual colors and shapes to demonstrators. I never bought the Hodgepodge Hardware because I probably wouldn't have enough of one particular item to do a make and take. Same with the buttons and the colored eylets. I would also like to se the colors in the wire works and the glitter come back. However, leave the option of bying at least the most popular wire (silver?) by itself since that will probably be used up first.
I also would sell the other coluzzle cutting system that Michaels sells. It seems much easier to use.

I would love to see the stamp set Mixed Bouquet make it into the new catalog! All my SU customers that haven't purchased it from the mini are dying to get there hands on it!
Also, more gel pens to write on dark cardstock. The SU white gel pen works so well- no skipping and a continuous flow of ink- maybe gold, silver!
I would also love to see more Easter sets and a good July 4th set!!

A border stamp set that looks like ribbon and more ribbon of all kinds! Polka dots, stripes, all the stuff I've been buying on E-bay!

More realistic Young men stuff. My son does BMX bike racing and races 4-wheelers - not cutesy though.

More punches all kinds. I love the new flower punch. More sets like Looks Like Spring - it's such an "overall" set with background stamps included.

Just adding to all the other items I have already put in here.

I would almost rather see the bg stamps a little bit smaller so they aren't so big in my hand.and would be much easier to clean on the stamp pad.not nearly enough room to move it around to clean it.

I agree with the teen girls my daughter is no where near a girly girl.very tomboy.I would love o get girlfriends but not her styl at all.need something to fit in with girls who aren't so girly like.maybe some more retro styles that way ot can go for both girls and teen boys.stamps like on the spot and some paisley sets but with dots.not flowers.

looking for skateboards, rollerblades, sneakers with the wheels build inside now.

again sayings for certain themes like friends saying, sports sayings.for us scrappin ladies.any kind of saying for us to use on our pages.wether it's baby, teen years,family,summer/beach,holidays.winter.

get well sets need more something for young kids as well as adults.

need another farm set with a barn, and animals hay, pitchfork, wagon, fence.bag of feed.sign like pony rides.

waterpark/pool themes.

a painting set.that could be used for kids who do crafts, coloring eggs,

apple picking stamp set,strawberry.bluberries.pumpkin picking or pumkin patch.

winter sets,iceskating,snowboard,sledding,tubing,skiing,

calendar sets with months, years, numbers, days of week.

Default stamp sets

I forgot to add one to my list an over the hill set like in the past.that says over the hill for 30,40 or 50,year olds.there hasn't been one for awhile.need to find one like that with some sayings to go with it.I have 2 people this year and 2 next year coming up that are turning 50.so hope this comes in before they turn 50.if not it would still be nice to have it on hand when you need a set.

Also noticed this weekend when looking for a card for my father and mothers 50th wedding anniversary.there was nothing that said to mom and dad on your 50th golden wedding anniversary.or for a silver or 40th anniversary.they just said for a special couple.would be nice to have it a little more personalized after all to make it 50 years is a long time.so why not give them what they diserve.

I really like the thought of having more military sets. I purchased the GodSpeed set last year, but was disappointed that the wheel of medals only had pictures of US medals. What about those of us in Canada with military spouses. I plan on making a nice card for my mother-in-law next time my DH goes on tour, but I won't have any medals to place on the card. Just a thought. I agree with everything else everybody else is saying about the paper and punches that are needed.

I would love to see the following:
Able to buy items from the Hodgepode set seperately
More styles of eylets and brads
More, More Scrapbooking kits
Larger Mat then in the book like a 24x18
More storage containers and organizational items
Sports Jersey Stamp Set (so you can add the number on the shirt)
Idea books (like they used to have)
I am sure I will think of more.

By the time of this writing, I'm sure the catalog layouts have gone to the printers. But for NEXT year...

Masculine sets seem to be a popular request - but so far seem to revolve around hunting, fishing, tractors and trucks. I'll bet a good card/scrapbook set would be an outdoor grill set - forks and grill and bar-b-que, would be popular. And a big-screen TV! And some sort of set that feature tickets - where you can stamp the event on there.

Wow! You all have such awesome ideas! I guess I haven't been into this long enough to know what I want (there's too much there for me already!), but I really like the idea of ribbon samplers, and the ability to buy HPH pieces separately.
Is it July yet? I can't WAIT for the new catty!!!!!!

Default 2006/2007 Idea Book & Catalog Suggestions

:p
Hi there,
I love all of the suggestions listed in this thread.
I too would like to see bulk designer papers for us demonstrators. Two sheets of anyone design isn't enough for a workshop or stamp camp.

Other suggestions:
1) Embellishments for holidays and special occasions (xmas bell, snowman, snowflake, halloween cat, witch, pumpkin, hearts, flowers, birthday cake, candle, etc: a mix or 50 per pack of 1 kind- for workshops/stamp camps).
2) Tag Punch sold separately. I'd love to do projects with this and have my new customers buy it!
3) Vertical verses - miss last years! for the waterfall cards.
4) Formal bridal shower/wedding stamp set.
5) Sympathy set with a picture or two.
6) Run a special: Buy 1 big punch, get a smaller punch 1/2 off.
7) Put the Wheel page before the Stamp Set listing, to keep in line with the products.
Add a listing of the products and their page numbers, based on their cost category - someone did this and it's wonderful!

Can't think of anything more, but i can tell the book will be great, with all of the other suggestions!!!
Happy Day - another one for stamping!
Cathy

Sorry if this is a repeat (I haven't read all the responses) but I would LOVE to see Watercolor Pencils in all 48 colors...and more ribbon. I like the idea of a ribbon storage/organizer item, too

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE WATERCOLOR PENCILS COME IN ALL 48 COLORS PACK OF PAPER IN GROUPS OF 3 COLORS THAT GO TOGETHER, MORE EYELET STYLES, BIGGER SQUARE PUNCHES, PATTERNED RIBBON, A TURTLE SET SIMILAR TO THE UNFROGETTABLE SET OF FROGS, MORE ZOO OR WILD ANIMAL SETS, MORE BIBLE VERSE SETS, BLENDER PENS THAT COME WITH REFILLS, AND MAYBE SOME INDIVIDUAL STAMPS NOT JUST BACKGROUND ONES.

I would like to add something else to my list I am hoping that SU starts making more of the chalk ink pads like the petal point.I need more of the colors since they only have 4 from each color family.I would like to see some more colors or it would be nice if we could pick and chose what colors we wanted.

Ribbon stamps. I saw this in a stamping magazine (Creating Keepsakes, I think). It was so cool that you could stamp your own "ribbon" in any color that you needed!

I would like to see some nice Christmas sets. Haven't thought they have been great the last couple of years. More men, boys sets. To many of their sets look alike except 1 or 2 stamps. Not going to buy the set for 1 stamp.

I agree with more sympathy, wedding and classy masculine sets! Bring 'em on! I'd like to see more sets to use for little boys, too.

I'd also like to see some decent patriotic sets. Haven't liked any so far. Except the soldier set was nice.

Multiple sized (BIGGER) tag punches.
Polka-dotted ribbon and more patterned ribbons!
More sizes of ribbons.

I'd like to see alchohol inks.

I'd love to see camping sets, a Prom set, a transportation variety set (with bike, car, truck, plane, boat, bus, taxi, etc.), a set for runners. I'd also like to see a greek letter alphabet set to use with sororities, fraternities.

More background texture sets like faux leather, faux crinkled paper bag, etc.

BRING BACK:
Monkey Business, Paisley, Linen and SHRINK PLASTIC!

I think it would be awesome to have SU come out with thier own sparkling h2o's in all of the colors.oohhh yahhh!I would get these in a heart beat.

I just used mine that I bought and love them they are so easy to use and look great on flowers.it just gives them that shimmery look.without a lot of fuss.I just dipped my water brush in the sparkling h20's and painted the flowers.SO SU IF YOU ARE READING THESE.SPARKLING H2O'S IN ALL OF SU COLORS.

I love all of your ideas. Here are some more additions since we are all in the wishing mood!

A Christian symbols set with wheat/bread, grapes, water, dove, fire, and a simple cross to make Baptism, Communion and Confirmation cards.

More Crayon sets

Months, Seasons, Days of the week

That background stamp with Thank you in different languages would be awesome!

Hodgepodge hardware that is not so hodgepodge so that we can purchase the indivdual hardware for stamp camps, clubs and other larger projects.

My list is endless. Now, if I only had a candle to make a wish.

Has anyone compiled this list and sent it to SU? so they can hear our desires, or is this just a wish list that stays at SCS?

yes I started this thread and sent it to them twice.hopefully they did get it. However I never heard from them saying they did get the list I also asked if others could send the list to them in case for some reason mine didn't make it.so hopefully they got it o.k. and are checking it out.

A cute Greek alphabet! My sister is in college and I would LOVE to make her some sorority cards, but I can't for the life of me find a Greek Alphabet that looks whimsical and fun...
