Smile Printers

Hello,
I would like to print sentiments inside my cards with the computer but my HP 5740 will not take the thick SU cardstock. Any ideas?? Thanks
Sharen

My HP takes the cardstock just fine, but it's probably a different version. I usually take all of the other paper out, though, and send it through one sheet at a time. I love printing on vellum and attaching inside the card. Or outside.

You may have an envelope setting (basically for thickness) on your printer. Using that feature may allow the cardstock to go through.

I'm sure you have already done this, but have you checked your paper type settings -- mine has one for heavy cardstock as well of glossy photo paper

Others already have suggested good ideas, but do you have some non-SU paper that's thinner that you could use instead? If you're printing sentiments and then cutting them out, the paper thickness isn't too important, right?

I have the exact same printer and no problem. Hmm, wonder what the difference is... Are you printing on just cardstock or the already created card?

I always line my cards with a letterhead quality text paper to give them a more finished look. You can print on the text paper. It works really well.
