Between Sept. 27-30 I will be involved in putting on a spiritual weekend for a group of inmates from a state prison here in Texas. ONe of the moments of the weekend is when we bring into the room a paper chain that is filled with names of those praying for these women and our weekend. If you are interested in taking part in this way, just comment below and I will add you. These women are moved to tears when they see how many people they don't even know that are praying for them. It is a powerful moment and some how that feeling of being alone and abandoned dissolves for the moment. One of those warm fuzzies enters their hearts and God has used you in a small way to make it happen. Thanks for considering this request.

This is such a powerful idea, Liz! I'll be supporting all of you in my prayers. Here's a scripture passage that means a lot to me .... Philippians 4:6-8.

We do something very similar in Kairos. It's so powerful to see loving people visually represented that way. I'll Pray for the women, the team, and for you.Leslie Parks Edmond, OK
It will be my honor to be praying for all those precious women. What a wonderful idea. May God be glorified as His love is demonstrated and may the women's hearts be drawn to Him through this act of kindness/compassion."Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart." 1 Peter 1:22

Yes! One of the things that first touched my heart when I was 'on the way' to becoming a Christian, was that someone would take the time to pray for me. Ministering to prisoners is so important. Sign me up. Janelle H. in Tulsa, OK.
