I hope it is ok to post this. I purposely waited until my blog contest was over so no one would think I was trying to gin up business for my blog (LOL)
When Gina K Designs offered a Love You to Pieces set to raise $$ for Autism Speaks, I hosted a card contest on my blog. Use the set, send me a card and someone will win $50 gift certificate for Gina's store. I thought it was a good way to encourage folks to buy the set and just a fun thing.
When I contacted Gina to get her ok on my idea, she immediately agreed to pay for the prize herself. Now, there was NO way she needed to do that.
Is that NICE or what?:-D
ps. I have no affiliation with Gina or her business.

Gina is a total doll!!! I had the opportunity to speak to her as well, so very sweet!!! She grew up pretty close to where I live, though now she lives in Wisconsin {darn!!!}
Joan, you have a huge heart!!! Your contest was a super idea!!
That is awesome! I bought that set cuz it's sooooooooooooo darn cute. I have my wish list for some of her other stamps too! I couldn't believe how much money she raised and donated - she's awesome!
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
Gina is awesome! I wish I would have caught your blog - I too have the set and would have joined in! I can't wait to see her reveal on Wed. The doodle stamps look like a must have.

I echo your comments re: Gina K. I have been buying from her shop, StampingFreak, frequently over the past several months. I mentioned in a comment on an order that I was having a hard time with my odorless mineral spirit/gamsol pump bottle (the MOST wonderful thing if you like coloring this way) and if someone had any hints about how to fix this to let me know.
She called (on a Sunday afternoon, no less) herself and left a message on my home voice mail to just send my pump back to her and that she would be happy to replace it for me. She also thanked me for my business and wished me a great day. I'm just sorry I missed the chance to speak to her!
Suffice it to say, with that kind of customer service, I'll be a Gina K. customer for life! The creation of the set to benefit Autism Speaks and the prize donation for Joan's card contest (and other similar gifts she gives to SCSers) so speak to her kindness. So not only is she a talented stamper and artist, she's a smart business woman and a good person. Gina K, I hope you're reading this and know that YOU ROCK!!!
i agree; gina is cool. and i like that her set donated so much profit to autism. a lot of times you see, "spend 50 dollars and a dollar will be donated to "fill in the blank" very refreshing! plus, the set was too cute!

I just want to say as well that she is a wonderful person to deal with. I am from Canada and I was placing an order from her store. I was having trouble with paying by credit card because it didn't like the address and Gina phoned me and left a message with my son that she would call me back. My son who was 14 thinks I'm deranged because of my stamp addiction said "some stamping freak lady called from Wisconsin." I just had to laugh but she let me know that her paypal account would be set up in a couple of days. It was just so nice to have such personable service in today's world. Thanks Gina :p

I agree and I am glad you posted this thread.
Not only does she have great stamps and fantastic ideas on how to use them...more importantly, she is great at customer service.
That impressed me a lot....but here is the part that definitely put her WAY over the top--
Gina is the first person to post congratulations to all the design team members from other companies. She has her own stamp company and is the first one to pat others on the back--I love that! This, to me, speaks volumes about her!
I have a question for those of you that have ordered her stamps. I love her stamps & her blog, but so far I haven't ordered. (only for lack of extra funds) I do have some on my wish list. But I find her website & ordering process so confusing. Do you have to purchase all of her sets single besides the Autism Speaks set?

right now, her only 'set' is the Autism set. The others are all singles. Just add up your cart and proceed to checkout!
I do have an affiliation with Gina, but she's the NICEST person ever!
And on a side note, whatever rubber she uses cleans like a dream! Seriously, I love my stamps CLEAN, and they are always my cleanest stamps!
Joan, thank you SO much for hosting the great contest that you had. I appreciate that SO much and had no idea that Gina had fronted the gift certificate. You're BOTH awesome!
And to all of those that purchased this set (and you can STILL purchase this set....it's NOT retired....and the money STILL goes towards Autism Speaks) THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
My son, Zach, is autistic and this project means more to me than you'll ever know.

I have not joined the scalloped punch madness...not because I wouldn't want to but have been spending money elsewhere...and saving for vacation...lol...
Love the videos Gina and have a question re the stamps that fit the punches. A long time ago I did purchase a marvy uchida scalloped punch...it is huge, the punch is red. I see on your site the sizes posted by color...do you have anything that fits the huge red scalloped punch?
