FYI I was at the Post Office today and the Postal worker told me the cost of an "additional ounce " is going from 21 to 22 effective this Sunday. I can't find that on line but I am posting it anyway so no one's cards are delayed due to insufficient postage . 1st class stamp is staying the same ( for now) at 49

Hmmm...that's different. I found the update on stamps.com but not on the USPS.com site. There would be a 22 cent stamp available or mentioned in the newsroom on the site.
This was posted on the Stamps.com website: IMPORTANT UPDATE! On March 27, the USPS announced they will delay the implementation of the 2015 rate increase and classification changes scheduled to start on Sunday, April 26, 2015. USPS rates WILL NOT be changing on April 26, 2015.

Thanks for finding this. This must be why I could not find any information on line about a Postal increase . I wonder how many people he told this to and how many will just take his word for it and put an extra penny postage on their envelopes

You can always to to USPS.com and go to 'Calculate postage' or other such wording. Put in regular envelope and 2 oz. then you see it's still $.70 for now. $.49 + .21.
Good site for envelope measurements, too.

Thanks but this is where I looked and could not find anything about a pending increase after the Postal worker told me the 2nd ounce was going up a penny last Sunday .
I use the USPS site all the time because I also have a Postal scale.
I only posted the info with a disclaimer that I could not find this info anywhere incase I had missed the notice of the increase .
Clearly that Postal worker had incorrect information

And we make cards because we love it, it's our passion, our hobby, we enjoy it, right??? Not because we worry about postage going up another penny.........we're lucky it's still under a dollar, I guess!!! Frankly I'm lucky if I get them done on time!!!!
 I never get under $2.32 plus the cost of the bubble envelope because my cards are always thicker than 1/4" . I like layers, pearls, bows and such so I pay extra for what makes me happy .
