I was just amazed, this made me look through my own gallery from beginning to end and it really is apparent how one's style progresses and the cards improve with practice and new tools/supplies.....I can only wait to see what I am creating a year from now.....
That for reviving this thread. I've had a rough week and really needed to laugh. Most of the cards are just as hidious as they were 6 months ago, but a few have grown on me. My vote still goes to Bluebear...you go girl.
hehehe -- I love this thread. I have a card that my 7 year old son calls my "barf card" because the color is sooooo hidious. I think I did not upload it but I'm going to go look for it because I bet I can beat you all -- or at least my son thinks so :-)
Oh my gosh...I had never read this thread before!! My dh keeps yelling at me to see if I'm okay because I am HYSTERICALLY laughing!! The tin foil card seriously had me crying...I mean from laughter, not from being scared..well, a little maybe!!! ROFL!!!!!!!!!!
As I was looking through the SU catalog last night, I realized that many of the samples would have been contenders in this contest. I mean, really, what about the cards on pages 30 and 31. As much as I love SU and their products some of the samples in this year's catalog just have me shaking my head.

I couldn't agree more, Victoria! Those are real doozies! There are so many cards in the SCS Gallery that are prettier than the ones in the catalog.
Your post had me cracking up, just how you had all these different words and categories for ugly. How funny! I didn't think any of yours were ugly, to be honest! I did have to chuckle at the first. I've made some like that. All the silver SEEMS like a clever idea at the time.
I'll have to post some. I FINALLY found the stash of ones I made way back when ... when I knew NOTHING about stamping. They are TOO FUNNY. I can't believe I swapped some of them!
I am SO glad I stummbled into this thread! I have NEVER giggled at all you silly gals! I know you all claim to have the ugliest card....but honestly, what was I thinking of this one! It was for a complete set challenge! This one was "out of the box" and went "straight to the trash" afterwards! This one my 8 yr. old DS could have done better!
And this one!! I don't even know what to say!
I have more uglies if these don't beat out the foil card....lol!
Sorry FaieeMom, But I think your halloween card is Funny and Cute!

I keep coming back to this thread, because it just makes me feel good to see that others have some of the same "issues" I have had!! I guess I'm gonna have to learn how to start a gallery, so I can upload some of my "ugliest"!!
Jen
And to answer your wquestion...yes this does qualify as ugly!! Good job!
Thank You very Much! I am very Proud of my teapots!!:p

too funny that this thread is still going. So now that it is I have to add my "ugly" card to the mix.
Kelley
p.s. beware........ Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Wow, I'm, err, impressed (?) ;)

These were some of my earliest cards, I can't believe I have any left, I'll have to give them to my DD to write her thank yous with Not only are they VERY plain, the actual stamping/embossing is very poor. The last one is my favorite ugly card. It really does look much better in the scan than it does in real life, you can barely see the stamped images IRL! I can't believe I was actually proud enough of these to give sets of them as gifts.
This has been the greatest thread. I've laughed so much (my younger DD thought my older DD and I were having a tickle fight). The tinfoil rose wins for laughs in my book; the teapots win for general ugliness; the potatohead wins for a combination of laughs and general ugliness; and the comments win for keeping the laughter coming! Thanks for the good times here!

Ok....so I had to find the "toast" and when I found it....OMG....I almost did a #1 in my chair. How funny is that! Is sure does look like a piece of toast! Either that or when we each saw it, we were hungry....lol.
This thread is great! Although I don't agree with most of you about your cards being ugly . . .
I made this card as inspiration from a shirt I saw. I have always called it "My Ugly Card" so naturally I will link it here. I don't think it is my ugliest, though!!! But it definitely gets a prize. MyUGLYcard

Boilergrad's card Thank you bees is definitey in the running. Very similar to my worst card that I wish I had not thrown out. But do think the tin foil roses is still on top.
This thread is hysterical. I gotta join you all with a couple of my ugly cards too. I'm subscribing to this tread because it is so cool that we can share the bad with the good. I was going to delete these cards from my gallery because I can't believe I uploaded them in the first place but at least now they are good for something. I like to say that everything I learned about stamping, I learned on SCS but you really can't go by the bad one's below, I was still learning.
This is one of the first one's I did after I joined SCS and I thought I was copying what I saw in the gallery .... um not close: Green Monster
Again, I was thinking I was doing what I was seeing in the gallery, still not quite there yet. Bright Mess
This one says - never make an Easter card unless you have actual Easter stamps and embellishments. Not So "Fun Filled" Easter
Well, Cindy501, even though you came late in the game I think your white gel pen deserves at least honorable mention. Now put down the pen and back away slowly.
i thought these were suppose to be UGLY cards.. What am I missing.. I just got my uglies in the mail on Wed... I am going to make my card tonight, but it will truly be ugly.. That is the contest right? Ugliest card? I hope so because my image is just wrong.....UGLYYYYYYYYYYYY
