Default POLL: Do you mount your stamps right away or

wait until you get ready to use them?

I normally mount mine right away. I won't want to waste time mounting, when I could be stamping.

What about you?

I "try" to varnish mine first and then mount them when I get them. Last night I varnished 20 sets (including 2 alphabets!). It took forever. But it was a great feeling to wake up this morning and see a table full of wood looking all nice and shiny. Got to admit though, a couple of those sets I've had a while and just haven't had time to get to. :(

I used to mount mine right away, and I did mount the two sets I got in last week right away (but I needed them for a workshop so that doesn't count) but considering that I have 14 sets sitting here needing to be put together, I guess the answer to the question is no. Wish I had more time!

My demo mounts mine as soon as they arrive and she delivers them ready to go! This gets us to use them right away and quickly come back for more.
BTW she's AAAWWWSOME!!!!

I started mounting mine soon after getting them, after I mounted some sets that friends had had for a long time. The adhesive was actually coming away from the foam backing with the waxed paper! It was a real pain.

When I first started stamping I mounted them all pronto! As I got more sets and less time with volunteering activities, I only mount the stamps in the set that I know I am going to use often. Now I have so many sets (I' never counted) I am going to take the ones I know I will never part with and un-mount them--so I am glad I didn't mount each and every stamp now! I need to free up space! Been stampin now for nearly 7 years!

I used to mount them right away. Now I don't order as often (I'm not a demo) so when I do, I tend to buy a lot more stamps and it's really easy to get behind. I have a double alphabet from last spring that still needs its lowercase cut!

I received 14 sets in the mail on Wednesday and spent all afternoon Thursday mounting them. How could I wait?

Oh, you're not crazy!!! Not only do I mount mine, but I mount my demonstrators, and my good friends. They give them to me b/c they know how perfectionist about it I am. Although I have to admit, I put in a large order and I still have a couple to go!!!

I usually mount mine right away. I have Everyday Flexible Phrases to mount yet and have had it for a while now. I just can't get myself psyched up to mount them yet - so much cutting.

I mount mine as soon as I can, unless it was a freebie set that I might not use or know I won't need right away. I have a few hostess and hostess appreciation sets that are unmounted still. I will admit that it took me a month to mount EFP, because it was so annoying!

Default I still have sets to mount!

I used to do it right away then I 'lost' my scissors or put them away safely!! Now I've a load of sets waiting to be mounted. Next week I'll look for my scissors then I can get up to date again.

I can't wait to mount them. I hear my UPS guy coming and I wait by the door. He hands me my box, I tear it open and take all my stamp sets out. I then get my special scissors out and start cutting. I won't stop until they're all done. I even have to mount my sisters, my mothers and my best friends. Yes, I have mounted them for customers too. I just can't help myself.

It depends on the set really.....

If its one I have ordered MOST of the time its mounted right away.

If its a hostess set that I "picked bcause I HAD to" sometimes I wait -

I still ahve Painted Garden from Sellabrations from YEARS ago unmounted!

My friend and I often share stampsets - hers is mounted so I have been using hers! Vise Versa - my Sketches was mounted first so she uses mine and her's is unmounted - go figure!

Smiles
