Oh they are SO worth it! I sat and mounted 8 sets the other night, and my hand didn't cramp once! (One of the sets was the new flex phrases set, so LOTS of little cuts!)
they are well worth it. You will love using them..just make sure that everyone in your family knows they are not for paper or anything other then rubber. Trust me when you cut your first stamp set with them, you will be glad you got them! They last forever too.

A little tip I wanted to pass on... sometimes they get "gummy" from the adhesive when you cut your stamps. Take a little rubbing alcohol and wipe them off, they're good as new!

SO worth it...I kept saying "my kitchen shears are fine...then when I became a demo, they came in my starter kit, and I was smackin' myself for not having gotten them earlier!!! They're AWESOME.
To repeat, after you cut your first set, you'll wonder why you waited so long.

Yep, they're worth every penny. Eventually they will get dull after many many cuts, try Jim at www.circustamps.com he'll sharpen them for $5 and mail them back to you. It only cost me 87 cents to mail my pair and they are sooooo nice when freshly sharpened.

Thanks for that link! I have three pairs now...I go through about one pair a year I guess... LOL I will have to send off the duller ones!
I didn't own the Craft & Rubber scissors for the first two years of being a demo. I held back because I figured that there was no pair of scissors worth $20. One of my uplines bought them for me as a gift and it was the best $20 anyone ever spent on me! Since then, I got another pair through the Great Rewards program that SU has for their demos. I LOVE them! It's like a hot knife through butter when you trim your stamps! After 3 1/2 years of having them, I don't know what I ever did without them!

Rather than sharpen them I just buy a new pair from the guy on ebay who sells the genuine Kai scissors. I think he sells them for $2.99 and they are wonderful. They cut rubber like butter for a year or two!
Just purchased a pair myself recently. WOW. Never thought I could fall in love with a pair of scissors. They are simply fantastic and I'm glad I didn't wait too long before ordering them. Tried my demos and I was in heaven when I made that first cut. I knew right away that I couldn't cut with anything else!
I don't own a pair SU craft scissor so I can't tell you anything about them.
But I did purchase some Tim Holtz Craft Scissor's and I Love them.
I only use them for cutting rubber stamps.
I have all my other scissor's labeled with Ribbon or Tape. 2 for cutting nothing but Paper! Large pair and small pair. 2 for Cutting nothing but Ribbon or Fabric. Large & small pair. 1 for cutting wires. I went out and purchase scissor just for my dh to use. And told him that my Stamping Scissors Were off Limitsto him!
YAY I am doing the happy dance! The only problem is now waiting for them to arrive!
Do I need the other pair SU sells? The smaller pair? Or will this do me for a while?
Of course (we are enablers aren't we) Use the craft and rubber scissors for cutting rubber, cardstock, etc. Use paper snips for fine cutting and ribbons.
I had them but traded them with my upline. I'm left-handed and they just don't work as nice for me. I know every right handed person is saying "but they are for both hands". Trust me, they are different from actual left-handed scissors. The blades are opposite. With left scissors, I can see where I am cutting, with right scissors that are meant for both hands, the blade blocks the line of view and I can't see where I am cutting. And because lefties apply pressure to the blades opposite to righties, the foam on stamps gets undercut.
They are very nice scissors but I can cut my stamps better with left-handed Fiskars scissors.

Ooooh great tip TY! (I, um, had a wee accident while trying to clean mine with my thumbnail... and it is rather hard to stamp things properly while bleeding ;) )
I never thought I'd spend $20 on scissors either, until I got them in my Starter Kit and mounted all six of my sets immediately... what a dummy I was to wait so long. I seriously gave myself blisters hacking at my stamps before.
And yes, the paper snips really are worth it, too. Once you use them you will never be content with your regular ones again--they are incredibly sharp and cut in incredibly fine detail.
Little tip--My upline ties a little piece of ribbon to the handle of hers to signify which ones are for ribbon and fibers and which are for paper. Also easily identifies them at a group crop.

Actually, I am very UNHAPPY with mine. I have never used them for anything but rubber. They don't trim well...leave little slivers of rubber on the stamp. I have pretty much given up trimming my own stamps. LM
