ok...I would love some help! I made this card to go with a bridal shower gift...but I'm not sure if the card is done...or is there something else I can do?
oh I don't know how to do this. I think my photo is attached, rather than a thumbnail in the post.
One of my problems is I made the card to fit a 5.5" envelop. Then I decided I needed to add some pink to it...so put the pixie pink background onto the card. Now it's way to small for my next size envelop...a 6.5". So I was toying with adding a white piece behind the pink...but that would be a 3/8" border showing on all sides...and then do I leave it start white? stamp some flowers on it? maybe just stamp with versamark, so it's a suttle design?
I'm sure one of the talented folks on this site can offer much better help, but here's my first impression:
Overall, I love the card. That embossed dark brown looks yummy! What stands out as odd to me is the pink color. And it could very well be that the color changed from your scan to my computer, but it seems a little off. Too hot pink on my screen. Maybe if you chalked/inked the pink it would tie in better to the browns of the card. I'm not even sure you need pink on the card at all.
I agree - I think adding more would confuse the design of this card.
I would attempt to take it apart and re-mount and maybe show a slightly larger border of pink not too much more though.
ETA - I just presumed the colors were those of the bride.
With colours you have to make sure that when you have three contrasting colours like this one that their "intensity" can stand up to one another.
ETA - AGAIN - can you stamp something brown on the pink - I know it doesn't show too much but a textured background stamp or flourish. I think with the green and brown being so heavily textured it seems to make the pink look very flat and the odd one out. So to be able to coordinate it would probably help.

Very pretty card! I agree with the above posts about the pink. I think if you sponge the edge with the chocolate chip it will blend a little better. I love the mix of the swiss dot and floral fantasy CB. Gorgeous!
you all are great! thanks! I'm disassembling as we speak (but I'm at work, and don't have glue to put it back together :( ). I think in real life the colors work well together. I used SU choc chip and pixie pink, and Papertrey spring moss and Papertrey ribbon. The colors and patterns actually coordinate with the gift. My daughter has bought an adorable apron, brown background print - very similar to the cuttlebug flower embossing folder, and green swiss dot waist band and ruffle. I brought it to work today so we could embroider "Mrs. Andrews" onto the apron. Oh I just want this to be perfect. (yeah...I know...bad place to step....lol)

Okay, now I think the card is perfect just the way it is. Really, I like the pink border. The card is just gorgeous!
If the envelope is the problem, I would make my own. Lauren (mytime) has a wonderful template that she uses for homemade envelopes. It was maybe last month that she posted it?
And I love that little "sprig" along the bottom. Is that a punch? Too cool!
Hugs,
Renee

I agree.
Very pretty as is and I love the pink, too
