I got an invite after I applied for one - but I'm not on Facebook or Twitter, so I never got through the sign-in process. They say it's to reduce spam - I find it hard to see how that would work. I can understand that it would help you to find your friends and common shared interests. Then Lydia sent me an invitation to see if it was different if someone invited you - no go there either...

Yes, I'll admit it - I'm a Pinterest addict too! It's such a wonderful tool for saving all the important stuff that used to go into my Favorites, but it's such a time-waster! LOL I also have a link to my Pinterest boards on my blog.

Lydia gave me an invite too. She's the sweetest. I love her boards. I am a Pinterest addict too. OMG! I keep pinning quotes. I will have to stop. I can make a two thousand page book on quotes, lol. I have a whole board full of hunky men. I am telling you I use Pinterest for a productive stamping idea session, ROFL!
Another addict here too! My DIL sent me an invitation and I jumped right in. Saturday during "cousins cookie day" I mentioned something I pinned and I got razzed about me being on there more than she was!! It's fun!
Oh, yes....I am totally addicted! Not just all of the crafty type stuff, but the recipes too! Getting ready to try another one out today. I have a link to my Pinterest account on my blog as well - Over on the right side. Always looking for new pinning buddies!

if you PM me your email address, I can send you an invite. You have to have a facebook or twitter account to create a Pinterest account (unless that's changed). Basically you sent up boards/folders, and save images to each one. Then you can like, comment, or repin stuff from your "friends" and save it to your boards too.
Also - a coworker brought in cookies today. They were the Andes mint chocolate cookies. I recognized them right away from Pinterest, and agree, they are DELICIOUS.
For those concerned about signing up for FB or Twitter to access Pinterest, my daughter made a temporary FB account, signed up for Pinterest, and then deleted her FB account. She can still access Pinterest without having a FB or Twitter account. Once you're set up you can just login by email.

I joined the Pinterest waiting list on 12/13...still no invite. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an invite? Would love to start pinning things. What an addictive site.

Hey, if you like actually using those ideas and making something, you should check out the Pinny Parties. Over at Amber Inklings they do a party every weekend. The idea is that you make something inspired from something you have pinned on Pinterest. Then you just upload your creation to your blog, online gallery, etc. I have played in a couple of them and it is fun!

Someone aptly named Pinterest "a big time suck" and I totally agree but I totally love it - lol! I've gotten TONS of ideas and not just for papercrafting. I have a board for papercrafting, another one for DIY embellishments, another for Coloring with Copics and one for Sketches. The web site is a genius idea IMO!

I got my invite about a week ago, and I'm hooked. I'm already following a bunch of ladies from SCS, but I'm not sharing my board yet because I have almost nothing pinned. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with it.

Two weeks ago, I had never heard of Pinterest. Then, three different people, from three different parts of my life, mentioned Pinterest. I knew I had to check it out. A friend at work sent me an invite, I checked it out that night, and instantly became an addict!

Love that place, I've found so many DIY ideas that I want to try once our home is finished. My poor husband will be exhausted because I'll need his help.
